I bought generic slimfast at the store this week because it was still cheaper than regular slimfast with a $1.25 off coupon. It tastes different so it's not the exact same stuff repackaged like some generics are. The generic's scoop is buried a little deeper in the powder so I've been using the scoop from the brand name slimfast. Today I found the generic one and it completely fit inside the slimfast scoop! I was shocked. And hurt. And confused. I got out a bona fide 1/3 c measure and the bigger scoop fills it perfectly.
Both cans say "1 scoop - 1/3 cup powder" is one serving size, so it makes NO sense for the scoops to be so different in size. Which one do I trust? I watch my calories like a hawk so this is pretty important to me. The nutritional stats are exactly the same, and if you add them you get like 90 something instead of 110 as it's listed but I count it as 110 anyway. But if it turns out I've been having, say, 140 calories in my morning shake, it can make a pretty big difference.
