I'm new to exercising and I've only been doing it a short while, but I notice that in some areas I'm super weak and not so much in others. My arms are really weak and it's no way I can support myself to do push ups. I did some weights. You know where you sit on the bench and you pull the bar and it lifts the weights? I don't what that machine is called, but to get started I did 32 of those.
I can walk a hour on the treadmill at a 2.5 incline goind at a speed of 2.5. This is what I started with for exercise. The thing that is defeating me and that I want to conquer is the elliptical machine. All I can do is 2 minutes on it. Then I get off go to the treadmill walk a while and do another 2 minutes on the ellipitical. How long does it take to build up endurance? I want to be able to do at least 5 minutes straight. That's my goal right now and eventually raise it. Is there a way to build it up faster?

Perhaps try the elliptical for longer at an easier setting / slower speed? either way I'm sure it will come with time.
For push-ups you can start off with easier versions of the exercise: on the knees instead of on the toes; or a 'box push-up'; or make it easier by being at an incline (knees on floor, hands on a step or a bench or chair), or lean against a wall (feet on floor, arms against a wall) easier the more 'vertical' the angle between you and the wall.
