Hello! I'm a new member. After a lot of research I have decided to dive into the hcg diet. When I read other blogs they talk about phase 2, 3, and 4. I guess I'm a little fuzzy on 4, I thought you kind of just returned to 2 for starters. My other question of course is does it work and has anyone out there been on prescription medications while on the diet? I am on levothyroid. topamax, & effexor XR and these are not optional. Has anyone out there had adverse effects with drug interactions, severe headaches while on the diet. Any unpleasant side-effects of the diet? Dizziness? Nausea? I've got about 55 pounds to lose and I am ready to make the commitment. But I don't want this to be a joke. Trudeau came across as a bit of a flake, I could only thunb through his book. (I don't trust people who find a conspiracy lurking in every corner). But I have read Dr. Simeon's manuscript 3 times and find his work fascinating! Thanks! |

yeah, I'm totally jazzed! Yes, I also started exercising (mostly to get it in my system so I continue exercising once the diet ends). I am only doing a 4 week run. My doctor only recommends 4 weeks at a time for some reason. I was having pretty serious cravings week one, but noticed that they've died down this week. I am not hungry really at all. The meals are larger then you probably think they will be. I get hungry about an hour before dinner and an hour before lunch, but after eating am perfectly satisfied. i believe its all in your head. If you can train your brain and be committed to this, I think anyone can do it. I am doing the diet with 3 friends. One guy started well over 300 lbs. Imagine 500 calories for him! He's doing it just fine and is still power lifting during the diet. He has lost 24 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks. He's hoping to hit the 30+ mark and plans to do the diet again after his maintenance. Good luck! How much does it cost online? I did it through a doctor in Arizona. My hormone is not injectable though, its under the tongue. My doctor says it is the same thing. |

I'm sure your doctor just wants to be sure you don't develop a tolerance to the hcg. The only way to extend it to 6-weeks is to take one day off from administration every week. Did you read Dr. Simeon's paper? Sublingual delivery of hcg twice a day versus subcutaneous injection of hcg once a day is essentially the same. You may experience more of peak and drop of with the sublingual administration since administration i the subcutaneous or intramuscular tissues would be delivered more evenly over time. The injections are only available from europe. Mine are coming from the top rated company on-line for that stuff. Shipping was $30, the price for 3, 6-week runs $68.99. Another recommended site sold the necessary syringes, dilutions, directions for use etc, for about $70 incl. shipping. It is so cool you have friends to diet with. I am completely jealous ( in a nice way)! I can't wait for my hcg to arrive. Please keep me posted on your progress! Lisa |

I started three weeks ago and lost 10 lbs. I'm on the sublingual. Haven't had any yearnings for starches or sweets at all, but yesterday I overdid it with sashimi, cucumbers and lovely tofu. (Protein cravings galore!) Today, I craved and ate bakenets. Gee, I felt so greasy inside. So, I countered with a peach and an apple. So, I am off. What do I do now? Do I resume the hcg and go back to 500 calories, stop the hcg (for how long?) or what? Any ideas? I'm paying $300 a month for the meds, phentermine and sennacot. Flo, you must immediately get back on track from everything I've read. Remember your ultimate goal is to shed that 3rd type of fat and reset your hypothalamus. This diet isn't forever, but you must put this mistake behind you and proceed with vigilance! Keep your eye on your goal. Have you read Dr. Simeon's Protocol? You might go through that for a little inspiration. Next time you feel tempted drink some tea instead. You can do this! |

Flo, Eat nothing but 5 apples. restart the HCG immediately. It is probably still in your system. You have to stay focused, (I know sushi is one of my cravings for sure....) but any little slip (even a lick of a spoon) can throw things off for days. Get back on board. You can do it! |

You can get HCG, the supplies and all the information that you need at <LINK REMOVED - PLEASE READ POSTING GUIDELINES>. Check out the before and after videos to see if it works. How's over 100lbs lost in under 6 months? I would say that it works. Last edited on 13 Nov 2008 04:09 am by |

Hi Everyone, I'm a new memeber - just came across the site today and have a few questions about the HCG Protocol when it comes to prescription medications and the effect that it has on the diet. Has anyone known of people on anti-inflamatories, anti-depressants or muscle relaxers that have been on the diet without them interfering? |

Hi Lisa, My name is Zoe and I recently came across your blog in a Diet & Weight Loss Forum talking about the HCG Diet. Did you try it? How did it go? I'd like to hear of your experience. I am also looking for someone who has tried it while being on depression meds. Do you know of anyone? I'd like to hear how it worked for them as well. I hope that I hear from you soon. Thanks. |

Hi Zoe, I've lost 85lbs in 6 months on HCg with a doctor. I'm on the third day of my third cycle, which I ordered online. I take Ativan, an anti-anxiety med, and it's had no effect. The good thing is, HCg normalizes the hormones in the body and can eliminate many depression symptoms. I see a Naturopathic MD. He weened me off my prozac, which I was on for over 5 years, and now I take b-12 injections/tryptophan daily. I feel amazing. I would recommend seeing a doctor for your first round and not just buy it on the internet. Every medication is different, and every person's chemistry is different. Good luck, Alicia Last edited on 23 Apr 2009 02:12 am by Calalily4 |

Hi Zoe, My doctor is the one who suggested I try HCg. I had never heard of it before. My doctor's a naturopath, while he believes there is a time and place for prescription meds, he provides the option of doing things holistically. He did it himself and lost 100lbs. I agree, the energy level is amazing. I suffer from anxiety and depression, so I know what it feels like to drag yourself out of bed. There are a few other perks I've experienced, including my psoriasis goes into remission whenever I'm on it. Be careful regarding birth control, HCg makes people very fertile (men and women). My husband and I take special precautions when I'm in the middle of a round. To answer your question, you need to wait 6 weeks after the first round before you start a second. If you need to do a third you need to weight 8 weeks. Immediately following the diet, make sure you don't introduce carbs or sugar. You can gain it back VERY quickly. I slipped once and gained 5lbs in 2 days. And then in the 3 weeks following that, slowly introduce carbs, do not just jump in. Try eating something and check your weight the next morning. If your weight goes up at all, do not eat carbs that day. Another thing I noticed is that my weight loss stops on the diet if I eat and artificial sweetner. My brother-in-law experienced the same thing. I've got loads of advise, but I don't want to overwhelm you now. Just take it one day at time and keep me posted. I'm up to 8lbs lost on this round and I'm on day 5. Keep up the great work! Alicia |

Hello! I have done this diet twice now. The first time I lost 17 pounds, but the second time I lost 30. I had a dr. both times. My second time was easier because I got a book to follow. It has recipes and a journal and tons of info. If anyone's interested it's called My Weight is Over, and its available on 10weekchallenge.com. I'm a 48 yr old male, and i've kept off 45 of the 47 pounds I've lost. I did the actual shots from a doctor, not the drops, because those are mostly a scam. My mother also did the diet, but at first had a really hard time losing, and we think it's because she's diabetic, so we changed her daily intake from 2 fruits to one fruit, and added one veggie, then her daily weight loss doubled. I encourage everyone willing to go on a mission for just one month, to try the hcg diet. Yes, it works, if you follow the plan (get that journal, too), and get REAL hcg. I'm so glad to find this forum! I was also interested in results using required medications-such as antidepressants, Synthroid, and cholesterol meds. I thought I read in the Protocol that you are to take NOTHING, and this is not possible for me to do. It also said no facial creams, so I guess I will have to see how that goes. For those of you who are using the drops and have had good results, could you please post the ingredients and what is written on your label including the strength? I bought some on amazon and since people are saying that some of it is a scam, I wanted to see if I had the same stuff as you. I am starting tomorrow. Does anyone know if you can give blood while on hcg? I need to lose about 30 pounds, so this sounds perfect. ETA: Ladies who have lost, where do you seem to be losing? The writings make it sound like most will come from abdomen and hip area. This would be wonderful for me! Last edited on 15 Apr 2010 04:41 pm by choosetolose |

Hi all Found this site after googling, I ordered sub lingual HCG. a friend referred me to the diet and pretty much broke me down to what she did, even though she had moments she 'fudged' she still lost at least a pound a day. The diet seems pretty easy to me because of the vegetables and chicken. I was wondering by reading you guys posts, how well it really worked with the end results. I have heard so many controversies that it is a 'fad' ect... but I do still plan to start it I wanted to get you guys imput on recipes you used to help make the diet easier and what you did didnt do during and how much you ended up losing! I plan to go shopping for everything Jan 2! and this board seems to be great for support! |

Hello there! This diet seems amazing and I really want to try it. But I'm curious.. is there a daily meal plan or is it just a 500 calorie limit? Also can you use lotions and face wash and stuff? |

I tried HCG and it was VERY difficult. At only 500 calories a day, I felt very light headed and had difficulty concentrating. Several times I felt faint enough that I had to sit for awhile. I had hoped to lose 40 lbs but don't seem to be able to tolerate the drastic reduction in calories. After I had difficulty, I did some research and found several articles that warned about the 500 calorie limit so please do your research carefully. |

I actually tried it, I was successful with the 500 calories...it was about spacing the meals..it actually took some tweaking on my part... I did go from a size 18 jeans to size 15... so I wanted to report it... I had to step off the HCG for a time because of my health and needing some things done... but for those of you worried I was told by my Dr you need to find your base metabolic rate (ie what you burn just lying in bed) you can go from there with the calories...and safely go to 1k SAFELY... I have Blood sugar issues because of this I have to CAREFULLY watch the first week was my service dog monitoring my blood sugar...I added 2 extra melba toasts... AND I did a tbls of apple cider vinegar in my first dose of water...then nonstop green tea with stevia..after my health resolutions I plan to do the HCG again..... things i noticed weight loss and inches in waist and butt (Jeans showed it) reduction of cellulite (contributed to the vinegar) |

I am on day 5 and I have struggled with nausea and upset stomach. I couldn't even eat on day 3 after having 1/2 of an apple at lunch. Also had a headache the first 3 days. I am feeling better today. No appetite at all. I am taking Detoxatrim with it which has been great. It does a detox and curb cravings. I have lost about 4lbs. but nothing this morning. May not be eating enough. I had heard nausea was a side effect especially if you had morning sickness while pregnant. Anyone else hear this? |

Did you read the book titled HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide by Linda Prinster? This book is a must-read if you're going to do this diet. My doctor won't even put me on the diet unless I read it first. The book prescribes"gorging" high-calorie, high-fat foods during the first two days you take the HCG. To paraphrase, this puts into your system enough nutrition to ease into the 500 calorie diet. The extra fat from those 2 days doesn't become permanent fat because you are on the HCG, so you don't have to worry about it interferring with your weight loss. If you didn't do this "gorge" part of the diet, then that's perhaps the reason for having such a rough beginning. I hope this is helpful. Beth Tebe |

I just started this diet yesterday. I do feel encouraged after reading these posts. There is a lot of information out there that bocks at this diet, so I hope it works. I am a little concerned about using mineral oil on my skin and also think it is weird that I can only wear certain masscaras. Also, after doing my HCG injection today, I felt nauseated. I have about 28 lbs to loose. I hope I don't gain it back. |

I've been on this diet for a week now (the injections with a doctor) and its EXTREMELY difficult. My doctor did say that it would be because I don't have alot to lose- Goal weight is 110 at 5'5. The most difficult part is the weakness. I'm extremely weak and shaky and its very difficult to go about my day like normal (I have to walk 2miles a day around town). I've also been having nausea after meals, part of this may be that I am on several medications and usually have more to eat with them. I've lost 5 lbs in 3 days once I finished the loading phase and started the diet. The weight loss is very encouraging but it is extremely difficult, I'm exhausted, weak and shaky, depressed, irratible and I have cravings like crazy! This may be an easier diet if you start out at a high weight but if you are a normal weight and just want to look better then don't think it will be easy like it is for everyone else. I've now decided that I'm going off the HCG, after feeling terrible for 4 days, exhaustion, nausea, shaking, depression, irratability, then last night because too nauseous and exhausted to even eat my second meal of the day. And then this morning (day 5 of phase 2) I could barely walk up the stairs at my house so I decided I needed an actual meal and had a peanut butter sandwich. I now can't quit throwing up and am extremely sick and still exhausted. I have done a low calorie diet before without HCG, 300-800cals perday and never experienced symtoms like this. I haven't even felt this bad doing a water fast and I have gone up to 7 days before with no food or juice, just water and green tea. Not everyone can handle the HCG aparently, hopefully this leaves my system quickly. I will just be losing this the old fashioned way with diet and exercise. However, for health reasons I can not take birth control, do any of you know from personal experience if it makes a woman more fertile? The drops are NOT a scam. If you check other forums where the hcg users are taking the drops, you will see this. I am currently using the drops, and I can personally vouch for the fact that they DO WORK. I am on my 5th day of the hcg diet, Dr. Simeon's protocol, and I have already lost 8.5 lbs without exercising. The drops I take only cost $17 a bottle, shipping included. I bought them from Amazon.com. I agree with Calalily4, everyone is different, so you have to find out what works for you. But this is to let eveyone know that you don't have to take injections, and you don't need a doctor's supervision. The drops DO WORK. I am also taking B-12 sublingual drops and drinking half my weight in water everyday. This might help those suffering from weakness and low energy. Good Luck to everyone on the diet! Hi Everyone. I have a question on the HCG diet. would it work just the same if you just ate 500 calories a day and didn't have the drops?? Everyone keeps saying it doesn't really work, it only works as you are only having 500 calories a day and that's the reason you lose weight nothing to do with the drops. Help I'm so confused, I want to try it but don't want to get ripped off. Hope to hear from everyone soon:) Thank you Lindz |

I know nothing about the HCG diet, or these drops or anything regarding this diet, but I know 1 thing that the body needs a caloric deficit to burn fat. Whether it be from reduction of food, or a combo of reduction of food plus exercise, as long as you produce a deficit, you will lose the fat. There is no magic pill, there is no special formula. Its hard work 1 way or another. You do not need any special drops to lose weight. Just eat less calories then your body burns naturally, or do a combo of both eating less than your body burns AND burning extra calories with exercise. Do this, save your money and buy a new wardrobe. |

If you only eat 500 calories a day of course you are going to lose weight! You are also going to lose muscle and miss out on vital nutrients that your body needs. There is no easy fix like HCG drops to lose weight. Maybe it will work in the short term but what about once you stop doing it? You still have to learn to eat a healty balanced diet and move your body. |

Agree with Michelle, but you will not lose muscle eating 500 calories. Maybe if you're crazy lean to begin with AND doing a very intense exercise program for an extended period of time, it would be possible. But since you are asking about drops, I'd assume that is not the case. Please people, get the low cal = lose muscle concept out of your heads!!! |

All of the information that I found indicates that very low calories can indeed decrease your muscle mass. I'm not saying that it's an absolute fact and I am open to different information. I did read in another post that you gained muscle while eating 500-700 calories per day, but you were also lifting weights 10 hours a week. I think that the average person who is eating very low calories is not lifting weights for 10 hours a week and may therefore lose muscle mass. Just my thoughts on the matter. Actually, I was told by my Dr. that you could not only lose muscle on 500 cal/day, but also bone. But the hcg shot releases 1500+ cal/day into your system so that you are able to only lose fat. You definitely need to exercise on this program as you will need to keep the weight off and get used to a healthier lifestyle after the 60 days is complete; as to not gain back the weight. I am on day 7 of pharmaceutical hcg injections from a Dr. here in Florida and I am miserable. As of day 5 (3 days ofter the gorge) I lost 7 pounds but I'm thinking about missing Thanksgiving and worry about whether I can have a slice of turkey and a thimble of gravy! After years of constant weight gain - no matter what I did or didn't do, I was finally diagnosed as being hypothyroid. Once I got on medication and found my optimal dose (150mg 2x day of Armor Thyroid) I was able to lose weight successfully, albeit very, very slowly. It took me 18 months of careful selection of foods and exercise to lose 40lbs. My sister had done HCG and kept telling me to try it it. I told her I'd research it and then decide. After reading Dr Simeon's protocol and the history behind it, as well as the the detractions I though it would work for me but I wanted to be at 200lbs before trying. Once I hit that weight I wanted to start at (after the 40lbs) I found an MD that offered the program in my area (not wanting to chance my health with DIY self medication). I recently completed a full 5 week HCG course under his supervision. While on the HCG we had to adjust the medication to 90mg 2xd but other than that I had no ill effects. My blood sugars were good, and I never felt tired or weak. While it's true that a very low cal diet (VLCD) can effect muscle and bone - for a very obese person the 40 day series will do more good than harm. If you start out with less than 50lbs to lose - do 21 days. That's not enough time to harm you at all. Then you go on a 14-1800 cal a day diet and start to exercise again. Oh- You should NOT exercise except a 15-30 minute WALK during the VLCD time. Then you WILL have problems. After phase 2 I was ready to eat a more varied diet, but was surprised at how difficult it was to enter phase 3 and consume more food/cal. My beginning weight for phase 2 was 205. I lost 28 lbs during phase 2 and on phase 3 & 4 I've plateaued at 181/182 and am maintaining that weight nicely. (I never expected to lose too much because of the thyroid and I went on cruise during phase 3/4 so I am pleased with the results). I will do another protocol but will only do the 21 day - and no umbrella drinks during phase 3/4 :). I am still avoiding grains, sugars and starchy veg as much as possible - they seem to be my worst enemy as far as weight goesand agravate my acid reflux. |

Hello, I have been researching the hcg diet to decide whether or not it is right for me. I have about 40 pounds to lose. I am finishing up my RN training and am currently working shift work (12 hour day and night shifts) and am wondering if there is anybody else using the hcg diet working shift work? I am worried that these shifts will screw up my diet and the amount I'm eating. Also, where is the best website to order these drops off? Thanks! |

Wow - first I applaud you being a nurse and second, you're doing shift work. HCG should work fine for you. Just remember to eat the 2x a day (night) and get in your sleep in a block of at least 6 hours (8 would be better but who does that, right?). Your 'morning' weigh in and shot should be right after your longest sleep period. Here's how I worked my schedule: My day started around 4:45am - pee/ weigh/ shot/ coffee(b'fast) - in that order. Most days I also had apple cider vinegar in water too. Apple as an am snack (~0830 since I'd be up nearly 4 hours); eat my 1st meal ~1130-1200; sometimes eat a second snack @3pm (either 2nd fruit or my grissini/melba toast with coffee/tea), eat my last meal by 6:30pm (sometimes I'd save my evening grisini/toast as a pm snack). |

Hi Lisa, I sure hope you still get emails from this site! Back in 2008 you wrote ?óÔé¼?ôI am on levothyroid. topamax, & effexor XR and these are not optional. Has anyone out there had adverse effects with drug interactions, severe headaches while on the diet? I've got about 55 pounds to lose and I am ready to make the commitment.?óÔé¼?Ø Well I?óÔé¼Ôäóm currently on the dreaded Effexor and want to lose 55kgs(can you believe it!) using the hCG diet and was keen to see how you went; any side effects , did you lose, did the meds stop you losing at the typical rate, were you able to keep it off? Sorry for being so personal, but as a fellow sufferer I?óÔé¼Ôäóm sure you understandJ Also have you tried coming off Effexor, I know the withdrawal symptoms can be horrendous? I sure hope you get this and respond. Cheers, Mary. |

This is my ninth day on the HCG drops, and I have lost 16.2 pounds. I got in the bath this morning, and when I stood up to wash my hair in the shower, I felt a wave of dizziness. I crouched down and it subsided a bit, but the minute I stood back up an overwhelming wave of dizziness and fuzziness came over me, and I climbed out of the bathtub and sat on the seat of the toilet. I grabbed my towel and realized quickly that I was about to black out. I crawled to the kitchen to get the sugar because I remembered reading in Dr. Simeon's "Pounds and Inches" that low blood sugar could occur toward the end of treatment. He described the symptoms, and they seemed right on. I had to climb up with my arms to reach the sugar because my legs would not hold me. I reached the sugar but collapsed on the floor before I could take it. I was lying naked on the kitchen floor with the absolute knowledge that I was blacking out. I finally made myself open my eyes and grab the sugar on the floor beside me, which I dumped into my mouth. The symptoms began to subside immediately, although it took several hours, a sirloin steak, a couple of bites of bread, another teaspoon of white sugar under the tongue, a "b" complex, a "c", and a magnesium supplement (taken because I was struck by major cramps the moment I swallowed the sugar on the floor... the cramps resembled the highest level of awful cramps I get when I have my period, and they ended about ten minutes after they began, while the dizziness was still receding) before I returned to close to normal. All of the research I have done says that this is due to a fall in glucose because my blood is full of fatty acids released because of the hcg. However, other research I read said that this type of episode is considered hypoglycemic shock; and, if I wouldn't have gotten to the sugar before passing out, I most likely could have ended up with brain damage or dead (since I live alone and there would have been no one to find me there and get me medical attention.) Has anyone else experienced this dip in glucose? I have never had issues with this before, although I do typically have low blood pressure and a low resting heart rate. I am wondering if I should just eat normally for a few days or if I should proceed with the vlcd. |

I have lost 5.5 lbs. in 4 days so far... I am only 4 days in. No, you cannot just use the drops alone.... they will do nothing. HCG is a hormone released by pregnant women to turn fat into usable nutrients. The HCG plan is very strict, and it works when followed exactly. The HCG floods your system with the fat that is being turned into nutrients... so you are not hungry. It takes a few days to get used to the strictness of the food choices, but once you have it down, it works well. The hormone free version is just vitamins... there is no HCG in it. The HCG is what does the trick.... not just vitamins in a solution. The Homeopathic drops are a diluted form of HCG... the real HCG diet uses real hormone that you inject into yourself with a needle and syringe. Yes, anyone can lose weight on a 500 calorie a day diet... this is true. what makes this different is that your hunger level is not high, and this allows you to stay on the plan. But, it is a v-e-r-y strict plan, so if you are not willing to do it as directed without cheating for either 23 or 43 days, then choose another way to lose weight. If you are serious about losing weight, then take the time to educate yourself about all of the different ways there are out there, and choose the one that you know you can do and stick with... this will ensure your success. I can send a link to you for trusted company which I use before... Good luck.. |

Had a bad experience with hcg. I lost 28 lbs mostly muscle and water and as it came back as it has to if you ever eat more than 1000 calories it all came back as pure fat. Now my percentage of body fat is 45% instead of the 36% it was before I began two years ago, and I weigh exactly what I did two years ago. Only now it's a lot more fat and I have cellulite for the first time in my life. It's your decision but if I had read a post like this first I would have tried a more sensible plan. That's what I'm doing now. I exercise 3-4x week and eat about 1500 calories a day. I've lost 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks and I look healthy. |

I just started and got injections from my doctor--he said that it was the best way to begin as it is a hormone so he wanted to monitor it ???? 200.00 for the 20 day protocol but then I thought I would try ordering online--if it works. Good Luck |

hi everyone. Im on day 1 -of gorging. I feel awful. My stomach is upset and im bloated. (i had 2 burgers, 5 chicken nuggets, fries and a soda)and its all i had to eat today. I found this website trying to find more information on the drops i bought. It is a hormone free hcg with african mango- I wont say the brand bc i dont want to get in trouble. I hope this stuff works, My email is sevenxashes@gmail.com if you want to let me know that I didn't waste my money :) It came with a business card that sent me to a link that sent me to a e-book which i printed. It seems to contradict what others are having for their diet. Can some one please post what you eat each day? Also, I came here looking for the answer regarding make-up. Does it really make a difference? Please be honest. I'm a waitress and I suffer from cystic acne. I wear make up to feel more confident and be able to approach the guests who eat at the resturant. Its just how I am, I'm very self conscious. On that subject, did this HCG cause any one here to break out? So in a nutshell: 1. whats the real diet on this program? 2. Can I wear make-up? 3.Will Hcg cause my cystic acne to get worse or flare up? I appreciate your feedback and look forward to finding support here on this weight loss journey! Thanks for reading :) Rachel |

Hi, I am 38 and have 4 children and have always lost weight rather easy until about 6 months ago. I started my first injection today and am on the load day 1. I thought I would chronicle my journey so that others know what to expect. I will say that I plan on following the plan to a T so if you follow you will not see any deviations. Starting weight is 139.9 I am using a doctor and did not order online. I am staying on my medication of Cymbalta and adderoll and using the oil free face products and body products just to avoid any messing up of the program. Lexigirl |

1. My sister and my father did this diet and my dad lost 30 pounds and my sister 20. After being off of the diet since June my father has gained 10 pounds back my sister at least 15. But both have gone back to their old eating habits with no exercise. 2. I have done this diet, I've never lost more than 8 pounds and I've taken the drops, the shots and now I'm on the pills. Currently, I've been on for phase 11 for four days and have lost five pounds. One of those days I worked out vigerously and the other day I didn't drink enough water. 3. I do crave but I realize that it is more out of habit and my heart yearning for it. Not that I'm actually hungry. I plan to do the diet for only 2 weeks because I only have 15 pounds to lose. Ten of which I gained over a year of being married. I do not put lotion on my body but I do my hands. I have made no other cosmetic changes. ALSO which I do not encourage, I take off on the weekends and do a apple day monday if I have gained more than one pound (but will not allow more than two). This works for me because it helps you feel normal in order to have a great week at it. That works for me BUT the most I've ever weighted is 156 and my lifetime goal is to be 135 (Im 5'2). I have always worked three times a week for an hour. I also adopted the Michael Thurmond plan. You eat "good" during the week (more than you ever want to eat) and take weekends off. So I've always had a good routine. 4. For those of you that say a pill won't work, well think of it like this.. sometimes you just need to think it does. If that helps you reach your goal or gives you the jump start you need, why discourage it. I do encourage a healthy lifestyle but unless you are knocking on someone's door every morning to work out with them then let people do what they need to do. All a person can do is educate themselve about health risk and make a sound decision. Remember healthy people drop dead every day, there are no gurantees. Whether it works or not, reaching a healthier weight is always makes something worth a try. As far as the cost, HCG costs a lot less than weight loss surger or even a funeral. 5. Do I think it works, I do but I think anything will worth if you follow it to a tee and adding diet and exercising. These pills are giving me motivation to not snack and maybe tricking my brain into thinking I'm not as hungry or in need of a snack as I think. I do take a B-12 and a multi-vitamin every day. I think a good frame of mind is to be determined to reach your goal and don't beat yourself up about it. I live by the words... "I can do anything today that I don't have to do for the rest of my life".. Yes 500 calories is difficult but its as easy as making the decision not to.. Or making the decision too and doing extra to correct the moment you took off. Meaning eat thanksgiving dinner but force yourself to work out and extra 15 minutes for the rest of the week. All of you are on here asking if it works.. what works for me may not work for you, there are positive experience and negative ones. If you are and can remain healthy just do it, do as right as you can, get off and never have to do it again. Be it HCG, Weight Watchers, going hard on good food and exercise.. What will work is what you make work. Everyone else, either support the cause or keep your negative opinions to yourself. 10 pounds snuck up on me while I'm ENJOYING my marriage and it has been easy getting it off.. So I have sympathy for someone in need of trying to get off more than that while watching everyone around them enjoy food with no limits. |
