I love eating fruit as a snack, but my problem is that I get super hungry afterwards - it's almost like fruit triggers my hunger. I know that of all foods fruit goes through the stomach the fastest, but to actually MAKE me hungry? I don't get it. I feel like I can't eat fruit alone anymore unless I want my stomach to start growing like crazy afterwards. Any one else dealing with this, too? Does it mean that I'm going to have to just start eating something else along with fruit from now on?
It's a little disappointing because I know fruit has fibre in it but the fibre is doing nothing to make me full

it might be good to combine it with a protien of some type. also, drink a big glass of water with your fruit. this should help. oh, and what kind of fruit are you eating?

I eat different kinds of fruit all the time... lately it's been apples, pineapple, grapes, strawberries and bananas. I just bought a couple of packs of blackberries as well. The result is the same for me no matter what the fruit - hunger sets in after eating. I'll try drinking more water when I eat fruit, I should drink more water regardless so it should be a good excuse to. Thanks

Try adding a small handful of raw nuts to your fruit, such as walnuts or almonds. This may provide a satisfying snack.

As far as fruit goes, I usually stick to citrus because its low calorie which is my main concern but very often I cut up some veg instead, like half a bell pepper or tomato.
Even though I am trying to lose weight, I dont deny myself everything. A little tiny sprinkle of sea salt will make those veggies seem more like chips and less like flavored water. Just watch how much you use because that stuff is addictive. It was easier for me to quit smoking then it was to quit table salt.
Another thing is dont sit around. It is so easy to be hungry when your bored. Pick up a hobby or go for a long stroll.

As noted above, try some water.
For example, have a big glass of water before you have an apple. Then the fiber in the apple will help maintain the water and the feeling of fullness.
