I'm in college and 22, and this past summer I tipped the scales at 221 lbs at 6'0. And according to those weight and BMI charts, I was then considered obese. I got really disappointed at myself. Being that my weight fluctuated the past 4 years in college from 190 to 210 then down to 185 my first year in college. I wasn't able to maintain or lose weight since then...and all I did was gain weight.
College sucks if you're trying to healthily. But after checking the scales before this fall semester, I was determined to lose weight and even more train for an 8K in the spring. It's been 6 weeks since I've been working out and eating about 1500-2000 calories a day and I've lost about 15 pounds so far. But my tip to others is self-control. There's so many food temptations here in the dormitories but it's all about eating the right foods. I just hope that I can keep it up from here on out.

Tell me about it! College dieting is tough! Especially when the dining halls have rich desserts EVERY DAY right next to the fruit and veggies. Its all about the self control baby. I'm 10lbs lighter and going!
