I started a new way of losing weight called nutritional cleansing, and I lost 17 pounds and 30 inches all over my body in 15 days.

I'm thinking about starting exercising at the gym. I haven't exercised yet, but I think if I do start I will lose even more weight. I'm going to continue the nutritional cleansing, but exercising can't hurt.

Does anyone know what qualities I should look for in a fitness center? I mean where I live there are so many  fitness centers and I don't know how to choose which one to go to.

Simply Google for "Nutritional Cleansing" including the double quotes. It is a commercial product by Isagenix.

I haven't been home in 2 wks because I've been away on business, so I haven't been able to weight myself in the past 2 wks. I'm sure I've lost more pounds since the 17 that I originally lost. I'm glad I can carry the nutritional cleansing products with me or I wouldn't be able to stay with it.

I have about 60 more pounds to go.

On another note, I've been told not to eat apples or banannas. Even though they are natural fruits, they are supposed to have the wrong kind of sugars. Have you heard this?

I think you can also Google something about looking for a gym to find tips on selecting one. Here are my biggest points:

1. Visit the gym during the hours you would be using it to see how busy it is THEN.

2. Be very cautious about paying for a trainer. Most have simply taken a quick course to become certified, and know very little. They can be dangerous. Also, your trainer should look like they've accomplished something!

3. Read the tutorial on exercise on this website. Baby steps and listening to your body are top priorities in my mind.

Congrats on your weight loss, but I have a request for you. You have excited many forum readers with your story. Please do them the service of reporting on how you do in the future.

Hmm. I don't know how to say this without sounding negative, and I don't mean to at all! But so many diets bring quick weight loss at the outset, but they are not something that people can continue for long nor something they teaches the common sense principles of diet and exercise that can last a lifetime.

So please keep us posted. We'll be cheering for you!

Peter,

Thanks for your kind words. I do understand the what you are saying and I do not take what you say in a negative way at all. I understand that some weight loss program have limited effect. You lose weight quickly but then gain it all back. But I have met many people that are using this nutritional cleansing program, have lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off. I'm hoping for the same results.

I just recently returned from a 2wk business trip and discovered that I have continued to lose weight and I have lost a total of 21 pounds. I talked to my mom and she has lost 17 pounds, so we are totally excited.

I'm now in California visiting my brother who weighs in excess of 400 pounds. We are going to try to get him on the products.
