Hello everybody! My name is Larry and i'm 18 year's old. I'm like many some people who struggle with their weight. I'm 6'3 and weigh roughly 300 pounds, and trying to loose weight for overall health and well being. Unlike many people I don't have a hard plan to be 200 pounds in a matter of weeks, but more of setting small practical plans such as 4-5 pounds a month.
This was me and my wonderful girl friend of 2 years at senior prom. This was taken about a year ago, but I weigh about the same.

Hi Larry
Welcome to the forum and it's great to see that you want to do something about your weight now. Remember it will just get more difficult the longer you leave it. You don't even need to diet, just change some bad habits and calorie count a bit. We are all here to support you along the way.

Thank you, I don't eat entirely bad, it's just how much I eat, like I often have that "bottomless" stomach where I don't ever feel full. Do you know the equation on average how many calories I have to eat each day to stay at exactly 300 pounds with 0 exercise?

Hi Larry,
Using the RMR/BMR calculator, your unadjusted(not taking into account your level or activity) RMR is 2466. You probably shouldn't eat more than this many calories if you want to lose weight.

Ciao Larry,
I couldn't help notice your 'Mi chiamo Larry.' Do you speak Italian? I teach it.
One of the best things I have started doing to watch my food intake is the food diary. Right down everything you eat (and calories if possible). And not just 'potato chips' but '26 potato chips' or 'bag of potato chips.'
Setting small goals is a great idea. I'm shooting for 6 pounds a month. It's been working for the last 5 months. In about another 5 I hope to reach my goal. Slow and steady wins the race!!
