If so, how does it work? It probably is too early to ask about success, since it just came out. I have heard about bad side effects. So, if you take it, tell me a little bit about your experience with it.

Alli has been around forever in prescription strength. It's medical name is orlistat and it was marketed under the brand name Xenical. It binds with the fat during the digestion process and basically you poop it out. Your stools will look like orange grease that floats on top of chili, it will leak out into your underwear, you will have a funny odor (I don't know if others could smell it on me but I could). But it does work and it acts as a deterrant to eating fatty foods. The more fat you eat, the worse the side effects. If you can live with the side effects, then it may be the drug for you...

Nope, I don't think so!

I guess I'll go on the way I did for months now - exercise and diet! *still waiting for the miracle meds*

Thanx for the info! You've just confirmed my decision not to try any weightloss drugs.

I began taking alli in mid july and have lost 28 lbs. it teaches you how to eat. I have only had a few treatment effects, never been bad though. Never had any oily residue in my underwear or anything like that. I guess it is all in what you eat on the program. They give you a total number of fat grams you should stay under per meal and it you do that it works well. It is worth a try to see if it works as well for you as it did me.

My dad is 332lbs and he took xenical back then...I didn't know Alli was the same thing.  I need to ask him of his experience with it.  He loves fattening foods and probably had a bad experience or two.
