started brisk walking and eating less of everything since April. For the first 5 weeks I lost 5kg. After that my weight stop going down. What happen? Can somebody please help me? I'm planning to lose 20kg by December.

Is it true that if we keep doing the same exercise, our weight will never go down?

Hey there! Yes, I have the same problem. I have been walking at 4.0 for 60 minutes 5 days a week and I am no longer losing weight. I think I need to push myself more or something. Maybe you need to add more weight or intervals...more hill if you can...something your body is not used to. Try biking instead or the eliptical. I prefer walking myself so I have tried increasing the incline on the treadmill or adding two pound weights while I am walking...or just increasing the speed every few minutes to get my heart rate up. Hope this helps

To lose 5kg in 5 weeks yo may have had a calorie deficit of more than 1000 calories per day. I have to wonder whether your calorie deficit is too great and your metabolism has adjusted.

Do you count your calories? what do you aim for? What is your age, height, gender and current weight?

No. Frankly speaking I don't know how to count my calories. I'm 28 year old Chinese female. I'm 145cm and 68kg currently and my BMI is at the obese level. I'm targeting to get 18-20kg off by this Dec before Christmas

Now I do brisk walking daily for 1 hour and on Saturdays I have extra one hour of workout in martial arts class. Will that be enough to bring my weight down?

If anybody out there has any idea how to get this extra weight of mine off by Dec please help me.

Your BMI is 32.3. Your unadusted RMR is 1285. Maintenance as 'lightly active' is 1767 calories.

I suggest you aim to eat 1200-1300 calories. I suggest you read the Tutorial.

Counting calories need not be complicated - click the Food Calories & Nutrition Calculator

Additional exercise (extra time - or extra intensity) can also assist, but I would first focus on learning about calorie-counting and about making healthy food choices until you've got those issues covered.
