Hi all! I was just writing on my online diary and realized my biggest problem comes on Thursday/Friday when I have been sticking to my "healthy eating" regime and I blow it on something. Nothing big...just icecream or I will go out to dinner. So, I tell myself I deserve a little treat. But, then Friday comes around and it is downhill from there. I do nto know what my problem is!!!

I tried to think about what I do on those days. I always go out to dinner on Thursday so there is a problem right there...any suggestions? Then Friday I am so happy it is the weekend...I usually go out to dinner (again), have a few drinks etc.

HELP!!! Any input would be great!

The physical solution is to not go out - or to go out and make healthier choices.

In order to get there though you need a mental solution. For example, write down your goals (be positive, say it in the present tense etc.) and then periodically read them out to yoursef (I do this twice a week). The idea is to drill these into your subconcious so that you always know what your priorities are.

Yes I drink wine on the weekends and whatever left I finish off during the middle of the week.  Pay day.   when I get drunk I pig out.  On food.  So my whole I wanta lose goes out the window until it's gone.  the wine.  I keep telling myself the stuff is no good I gonna end up weighing 300 pounds and it don't matter till it's gone.  then I'm gonna give it up never drink again until my husband brings some more  home and then I'm where's mine.   There's no hope.

It's been six months with you but it's every weekend for me.  My weight keeps climbing after a while I'm gonna stop. Maybe.  Why is it that  every thing that so good is so bad?

This looks interesting ific.org/adacpe/nnccpe.cfm (all about people who know what they should do but don't do it, from an intersting point of view)

Hi Nir,

Just checked out the ific.org website. It looks like it has a lot of useful information.

Thanks for mentioning this website.

Great website for the nutrition education Nir! I read it, and sent it to my trainer, along with this website and suggested he read through that one and recommend other clients to this website for all the GOBS of info that Peter has available on here.

It's really a lifesaver!
