Hi, which way is better to exercise before you eat or to eat first and then exericise? I have read a few places were it states to exercise first so you are burning off stored fat and not just the sugars?
one more question is doing cardio for 30 minutes , 3 xs a week at 80 % heart rate good ? will this aide in weight loss ?

There is a suggestion that if you do fasted cardio (i.e. first thing in the morning, having not eaten since the night before) you might burn a slightly higher percentage of fat due to your partially-depleted glycogen stores.
By the same token, it would be unwise to do an anerobic workout (weight training) without eating first, as you want plenty of glycogen available for such a workout.
What is interesting about your question is that you're planning a challenging workout (80%) which therefore may require some glycogen - so theoretically if you're doing this fasted, you may have less energy and won't be able to carry on for as long as if you were well fed.
At the end of the day, you're going to be eating those same number of calories you're planning to, either before or after the workout (right?) so if you find that eating first helps to keep your workout going at the higher intensity, it would be wise to eat first [though ideally with a gap of 60-90 minutes - otherwise you'll get cramps as your digestive muscles compete with your skeletal muscles during the workout]
