Yup. Im happy. After what seems like years of sadness, im finally happy. Even though i have a stomach ache :)
Why am i happy you ask? Well.. I cant say im proud of it, but i guess i can say that today i actually ate. For the first time in months. I had my first oreo since who knows when. I ate my first butterfinger since last Easter. I had four, yes four, bowls of cereal. Not to mention that granola bar, the 4 eggo waffles, the big bowl of tomato soup, and the apple/orange slices. And dont even think im done eating yet.
I realized that its been me undereating thats been causing me to feel bad. Last week, for instance, a normal day for me would be this:
Breakfast: 1 eggo waffle with nothing on it, and a cup of tea.
Lunch: Nothing.
My after-school snack: Either some kind of fruit, or an egg.
Dinner: A minimum amount of whatever my family makes.
And after a day like that, i would feel awful.
But yeah, i was overdoing it. I was obsessed with trying to lose weight, and some days i would actually eat nothing. So now, im going to plan a day like today for once every two weeks, and just plain eat foods ive stayed away from for so long. This will hopefully give me some energy, because honestly some days i feel like im just going to collapse.
By the way, if you think once every two weeks is too often for this, please tell me. I still want to lose some weight, but i want to fit some of these days in.

If you consistenly eat practically nothing and are not losing fat then obviously the problem is eating too little. Rather than starve yourself for 2 weeks and then have a very high day, why not gradually increase your daily intake, say every week increase it by 100-200. As long as you are not losing and not gaining, you will simply be making progress by trying to establish what your maintenance level is. Then, once you find it you can lose fat by creating a small (emphasize the word small) deficit.
Gives you the best of both worlds:
1) fat loss is most effective on a small calorie deficit, i.e. it actually happens
2) you still eat plenty of calories, so you can enjoy food

Well I'm glad you feel better, I know your post was a while back so I don't know if you'll read this but I'll write it anyway.
Starving yourself then eating a lot is not a healthy way to go so please do not do that. Just add a little to your diet each day and if you can keep up something that's consistent, not too small but not too large you'll feel a lot more secure and things will go a lot better. I know exactly what you're doing and I do the same thing, but more frequently. Starve one day, binge the next. It's as simple as that and a really bad habbit to get into and very hard to break. Here's what a good meal day for me would be...I'm trying to keep it like this and keep it everyday:
Breakfast: 1/4-1/2 cup of cheerios crunch with an equal amount of either regular milk or soy milk (depending on what's available, I usually try to start out with soy milk) and a cup of hot green tea (with a spoonful of spenda sugar).
Lunch: A piece of fruit (like a small peach or a medium-sized apple), a bologna, lettuce sandwich on french bread, and 1 non-fat yogurt.
Dinner: Whatever mom makes (which is usually low carb as she's on a diet).
Snacks: Water, at the very least 6 medium glasses a day, spoonfuls of peanut butter or cool whip and the occasional handful of cheerios (I'm a cereal addict).

| I ate a bit tonight after a few days of minimum. I usually find it boosts my metabolism and its gone the next day anyway. Just dont do it too much, and dont eat THAT freakin much at once. It stretches your stomach. But a food day dosnt hurt every ONCE IN A WHILE. :p

Sorry to hijack this post....but I want to compare my eating habbits now to when I posted here last year:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup of kashi or puffins cereal with about the same amount of almond milk and the occasional iced tea.
Lunch: 1 PB & J plus an apple or bananna.
Snack: fruit, crackers and/or a biscotti plus a Jone's diet cream soda.
Dinner: soup, or anything I prepare that's under 300 calories.
I still have water and peanut butter....plus a little candy or treat here and there. Nothing huge, but I'm a teenager...and I can't get past my sweet tooth. Some things in life just aren't worth quitting to me.

I was thinking more like one or two sweet things a day. I know this might sound a little outrageous to some people but I simply CANNOT eat "junk food" only once or twice a month. It's either I eat a little when I crave it, or don't eat it at all. The latter only leads to eventual bingeing and prolonged misery.
I only eat sweets, btw. No burgers, chips, or anything in between. Besides, I try to find pastries made with only the most regular ingredients like sugar and milk. I try to avoid things like HFCS as often as I can. Also, I don't eat large pieces of cake. Merely small cookies, a biscotti, or some type of chocolate.
