They are supposed to be good fats for your diet! Every time I eat them...only 1/4 cup..I gain at least a pound or two the next day! Why in the world would this happen???

I only eat the raw organic almonds & unsalted dry roatsed peanuts. Do you think it could be an allergy that makes the scale go up so fast in one day?

I think if you had a nut allergy you would know about it, as they tend to be quite severe, even life-threatening. You could have an intolerance though. (The difference being in the onset time, the type and severity of the reaction, and the treatment)

You could try using peanut or almond oil, to cook with, or in salad dressings. Pure oils don't contain the proteins which cause the reaction.

I'd agree with the salt theory...your probably just retaining water so I wouldn't worry too much. Then again, you do have a nut allergy...a very weird nut allergy lol!

I personally love nuts because they fill me up. I'm a nut-a-holic and eat a reasonable amount of cashews, almonds, and a few spoonfuls of peanut butter daily. Anyway, are you sure the nuts are the only things your eating that could really make you gain? If so I'm as stumped as you as to why this is. Perhaps ask a physician if this becomes a concern...
