So I was sitting down with my cousin. We got on the topic of milk because his mom was hassling him about drinking milk.
So I said "Yeah, drink your milk,"
My couisn, who doesn't have half a brain and is only 10 says "Gateorade is better for you than milk,"
"Whatever, no it's not,"
"Yes it is, the coach of the hockey team (I forget the name) said so,"
"Well he's an idiot,"
"Nuh-uh. He would never lie to me,"
"Milk has calcium and builds strong bones. Gateorade is just for running it's not neccesarily good for you,"
"But he said so. He's not a liar,"
"Then he's just really stupid then,"
So who is right here me or my couisn?

I think you already know the answer to that one...I would certainly choose Gatorade over milk during a hockey game (or any other intense sport), but I would NEVER try to convince someone that Gatorade is actually healthier on a regular basis

Gatorade is an electrolyte replacement drink designed for people that are sweating. I don't think of it as a food, so I wouldn't even compare it to milk.

If Gatorade is so good for you, surely nursing mothers would produce that rather than milk?

C'mon Atta, you really had to ask whether YOU or your ten year old cousin was correct?
I have a ten year old cousin...never listen to them unless they are parroting something you already said

I do love Gatorade though...

I don't know it was just getting under my skin and it was bugging me. Also what was bugging me was that his mother stood up for him! I was like what the-?! So when an adult starts to defend something like that I felt a tad bit unsure. I thought I needed to check my sanity for a minute there.

| I find Gatorade to have too much sodium in it for my liking, so I've switched to SmartWater to get my electrolites after a workout or VitaminWater to get some flavor without the sodium. Other than that, regular water works for me. I buy Absopure Steam Distilled by the gallons!

My hubby loves Gatorade and Powerade, but they stick too much in my throat... maybe it is the sodium. I'd rather have Propel if I need it, and water is my main drink.
Funny, Peter!
