Good Morning,
I'm new to the forum and dieting in general. I have never in my life had to diet till now. I was a construction worker. Working very hard in all kinds of conditions. It has kept me slim throughout my life. I have since gone into the office where I sit all day now and do not get the exercise I need. Roll forward 5 years. I am now overweight and can't stand the comments I get from old friends and family that haven't seen me in a while. I'm sure you all know the comments. Wow you've gained a few pounds (as they pat my belly) etc... I want to make some changes.

In the past 2 months I have worked out every day, 7 days a week doing at least 4 miles a day on a treadmill. I have in the past week started the elliptical machine where I do 4 miles on elliptical and 2 miles on treadmill. I am also weight lifting and doing crunches and sit-ups. I work mostly upper body and abs.

I have the typical big belly that guys get. I am not heavy anywhere else but there. My weight started (or peaked) at 239 lbs. I am down to 225 lbs now and have been stuck there for easily a month now. I'd be very happy if I lost a lb or 2 a week. I have cut out the 15 cups of coffee I used to have with the coffeemate french vanilla (About 1000-1500 calories a day) I am eating 6 meals a day. Usually starting with a banana, then an hour later an apple, then maybe a lean cuisine for lunch, some nuts in the afternoon, then my workout and then supper whatever that may be. I'll also do maybe a bowl of frosted mini wheats in the evening.

My weight is just not moving. It's very discouraging because I am seemingly working my butt off. I am weight lifting, doing cardio on a daily basis and rotating my exercises. I'm at a loss.
