Hi everyone im a first timer at trying to loose a little weight , i am 28 years old (male) and have for the last 6 months noticed i have put weight on... for the last week i have been "eating healthier" and smaller amounts and i have found i seem to have lost a fair bit already! is this method okay? my job is active also , i am on my feet from 5am till 5pm (with breaks)..mainly i am cutting out all the junk food during my day and replacing with healthier option , and with my evening meal im halving it and replacing with more vegetable... any advice me great also would be good to have a dieting buddy via email if anyone is keen...cheers

As long as this approach is working, there is no need to make it more complicated. I suggest keeping a record of your weigh-ins so you can track progress and see if you're losing too slowly or indeed too quickly.

You might want to look into resistance exercise if you're not already doing some.

I'm encouraged to hear that you found that vegetables can work for you. I found myself gravitating towards healthy eating as a result of my initial 'cosmetic' desire to be less fat, drifting towards something like this

resistance training exercises your muscles - it works towards muscular endurance or muscular strength.

some exercises require weights (barbells, dumbbells)
other exercises can be done with resistance bands
for some exercises, your body weight provides the resistance

but they all come under the same broad category
