I have been reading alot that when loosing fat you should drink alot of water, around 8 glasses. I read somewhere that for every 20 pounds of weight, you should drink one glass of water. So I figure that each glass is 250ml, so that turns out to be 4 500ml water bottles for 8 glasses. But the problem I find, is when I start to drink water from the bottle, I cant stop without drinking the entire 500ml bottle. Now my question is it bad to drink too much water. Will the water stay on your body as wright, till you can eliminate it.
Second question, whats the deal with fklavour water bottles, and why is it so much more expensive then regular water bottles.
Thanks

As to your first question, if you can't stop till you finish the bottle you must be thirsty. Listen to your body!

I have a tutorial on water that will add a little more:

http://www.thelegacywebsite.com/tutorial_water.html

As to your second question, it's all about making money. Prices are based on what people are willing to pay.

I can't believe people even buy bottled water.

Peter, you must have good tasting water!  :yumm:

I don't buy bottled water on a regular basis, as I don't like the taste of most brands of it.   I can't stand the taste of Dasani, but being we have a Coca-Cola bottling plant in our town, it is all over here at most fast food restaurants in town.   They are making their $$$ from it, I'm sure.

I am fortunate enough to live in the country and have the most wonderful tasting water.   We have a water cooler at work, but I wash and re-use bottles and fill them with our own well water.    I can't stand the taste of the water cooler water.  But, when we go on vacation or for a long weekend get-away, I always buy bottled water to take along.   Some restaurants use tap water, it's really gross tasting:shock:   Then I know I will drink what I need, if it's in the cooler on ice.   It also helps me to leave the soda pop alone:thumbsup:

Peter, thanks for inserting the links to the tutorials every once in a while.   Although I've read through them all at some point, maybe several times, it's easy to forget some of the great information in them.   Good reminder for all of us.

Thanks for the comment about the tutorials.

I actually created them for the purpose of not having to answer so many e-mails!

I go through them and make improvements about once a year and as soon as I finish reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle I'm going to do it again.

This time I'm going to reorganize them so that there is a natural flow if you read them in order. It will be fun! I have tons of notes to make improvements.

You have to drink lots and i mean LOTS of water to damage yourself .. it is better tho to sip the water throughout the course of the day, rather than to swallow a whole bottle in one breath.. (if you exercise you should drink more water than you would of u werent) ..
The water in this town is disgusting!! it tastes like dirt.. and i think, being a mining town, its not very good.. you can actually smell the chlorine in the water when you shower, and my skin ugh.. i always have to coat on the moisturiser after every shower or i just look like a scaley lizard.   So, having said that, i buy water, and i am also fortunate enough to have a job that supplies me with bottles of water throughout the day.. i would average about two 600ml bottles of water a day, but i also drink a lot of herbal tea too, and eat a fair amount of fruit.
And remember.. if ur thirsty, you are already dehydrated.. dont let yourself get to that stage.. get into that magical H2O !!

I drink 64 OZ of water a day, before I go to sleep i fill my 64OZ container, and drink it the next day, therefore i know exactely that i have achieved my daily  goal..I also read that you should drink about 4oz of water for every 20 minutes of exercise you partake in. Preferebly drink whatever amount you need 15 minutes before starting your workout..I do that but i also keep my 64 oz container on top of the treadmill just in case my mouth feels dry or something..

To drink too much water, you have to drink approximately 4 litres in half an hour... It can cause your brain to swell and give you a headache as your body can't eliminate it  in such a short period of time. In severve cases it can cause acoma. But, no. Unless you're intentionally trying to make yourself ill, its impossible to drink too much.

Yeah..I just heard about a woman on a radio contest that died from drinking 2 gallons of water in a VERY short time..it's called water poisoning.  The competition was to see who could drink the most water without going to the bathroom, so obviously it was intentional.  I don't think anyone realistically drinks that much water at once.

I have a question though.  Here in Europe, carbonated water is very common.  It's not flavored, just still water with carbon dioxide added. I'm not sure if there's a problem with the tap water, but people only drink out of bottles here.  I've actually come to prefer in a way after hating it at first!  Occasionally I drink the carbonated if we're out of still water.  Does it have the same benefits?  I tried doing some research and some sites said it's just as beneficial and some said it's not nearly as effective.  It's a struggle for me to drink enough water if I haven't exercised so I don't want to be drinking all this water if it's not doing the job!

carbonated water is water (obviously).

you could argue that still water is slightly healthier (because it is not carbonated), but that's an argument about carbonation and not taking anything away from the 'water benefits', surely.

in regards to the water poisoning. the contest also had the participants hold their urine. last one to make it to the toilet got a Nintendo Wii. the main thing is to be-able to get rid of what you put in.

I drink bottled water exclusively, because I'm allergic to chlorine, especially if it's ingested.  In the winter or when I can't work out, I try to drink at least two, if not three bottles a day.  The rest of the fluids get made up with soups and vegetables, etc.

When it's summer (we live in Southern California, with only one portable air conditioner), I vary the water with sport's drinks.  When it hits 116, just sitting still can cause dehydration.  I know I'm adding calories, but the electrolytes are important in maintaining health.

They have an electrolyte water out now, but the taste is off, and I've found that it doesn't do me any good if it sits in the bottle .

Bah! I'll only drink bottled water if it's SUPER cold or if I'm SUPER thirsty.
I think it tastes like dust!
