Hi!

I have a daily calorie burn goal and I?é??d like to know how many calories does the CHER FITNESS: A NEW ATTITUDE dvd burn. I?é??ve been doing this DVD on and off since I was about 12 and I?é??d copy the moves when I was 6 while I watched my mum doing it!

So I weigh 126 pounds,

the dvd consists of:
Step aerobics: 38 mins (307 calories)
Abs: 10 mins (76 calories)
Leg and butt toning: 32 mins (??????? calories)

How many calories do I burn doing the 3rd part of the DVD? I can?é??t find leg and butt toning in the calories burned calculator.....

Can't help you directly with the answer, but back in the days when I cared about this sort of thing (2006), the simplest thing was to buy a heart rate monitor (the type with a chest strap) that has a calories-burnt function. I could then be obsessive as I liked. After all, I don't really care what someone else burns doing a particular workout - I care (or cared) about how many calories I was burning. If you have serious money to burn then you can buy a 'BodyBug' instead, but there isn't really a need.

On the back of this obsession I actually stopped doing 'Body Combat' (similar to your Taebo?) for a few months and focused on 'Spin' (exercise bike class) - until I realised that ultimately what mattered was whether I was having fun, not what was the most time-efficient way of burning XYZ calories - but that's just me. Oh and what really helped shake me out of this obsession every time I bought one of these (2 or 3 units in all) is my knack for losing either the watch or the chest strap

I track the number of miles I cycle every day (simply because I can). I am not immune.
