I've learned that it's unhealthy not to eat breakfast within the first hour of waking up: does anyone know what Dr. Fuhrman's stance on breakfast is?  I wanna make sure i do this right.

> it's unhealthy not to eat breakfast within the first hour of waking up

that is certainly not in the book.

what is in the book is the suggestion that you should try to be hungry when you are eating (true hunger). I often wait till the afternoon to have my 'breakfast'

Dr Fuhrman himself, when he does eat breakfast, will only eat fruit - and sometimes he only eats two meals in a day.

Like I said above, any assertion that breakfast must be eaten, or eaten at a certain time, is nothing to do with ETL

If you do not eat after dinner, you should be truly hungry by the time you wake up in the morning. It makes sense to eat when you wake up because you will be immediately active.

As per my opinion, breakfast is very essential meal. But the breakfast should be healthy and fibre rich.

Taking sprouts and fruits as breakfast helps you to be healthy.

Not many people realize it but eating breakfast is the secret to staying healthy.
Breakfast is considered an important meal because it breaks the overnight fasting periods and replenishes your supply of glucose.

If breakfast is the first meal of the day, how can you skip it?

Anyway, if we go back to the "hunter-gatherer" age, I doubt they had a hearty breakfast first thing in the morning. Probably had to go out and "gather" first, at least in warm climates. But maybe they would have had a longer life expectancy if they could have eaten breakfast first thing.

In the morning I don't eat until I get hungry.  I'm retired now, but even when I worked, I skipped breakfast.  Never was hungry in the morning.  Why force extra calories?  First meal of the day was around noon.

However I know that you can get into the habit of having the stomach growls (different from being hungry) first thing in the morning by eating something in the morning a few days in a row.

Nancy, what do you make of this guy?

At 2.08pm they post "Avoid all high protein food like meats, nuts, grains, cheese, fast foods, fried and dairy products."

At 2.11pm he flip-flops and writes "Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, red meat, dairy products, nuts, grains"

'david07' was unable to contain himself, returning to plant his spammy link less than 27 hours after putting up his nonsense posts.

Yes I agree a confused teenager wanting to play with adults would have been preferable to a spammer.
