I'm a 17 years old boy, I'm 5/8 feet and my weight is around 132 lb. My body overall is very skinny.
I've been weightlifting since two years now and I'm starting to get some muscles.

My main problem is my belly fat. I want to get rid of it. But I don't want to lose too much fat. I'm know it's impossible to concentrate on a particular part of the body when losing fat.

But is there any way I can circumvent losing too much fat but get rid of this belly fat?
I'm willing to do any kind of challenge, diet, cardio whatsoever!

This dilemma does damage my self-esteem alot and once I've got my abs, many things will change in my life!

Thanks alot, your answers will be extremly appreciated.

How much can you pinch at the belly? You can buy callipers (for example on eBay) that can pinch you and give you a body fat percentage estimate.

Visible abdominals is a combination of actually having some development in those muscles (whether that is through weighted crunches or through composite movements with free weights involving many muscle groups) and then having low body fat (say 10% for a man) for the definition to be visible.

You need to continue your weight training to ensure that you do have abs, and you need to diet down i.e. create a calorie deficit by eating less and/or exercising more.

At this point I need to point out that your BMI is 20 and you are 17 years old. There is still potential for you to grow in height and you therefore probably should not be dieting.

If you did diet, your calorie deficit (through eating less or more likely through exercising more) should be no more than 300 a day - any more will likely be cannibalising your muscles so hardly makes sense. The leaner one is the smaller their deficit should be.

With a BMI o 20 you should already be quite happy with your body. Self esteem issues are mind issues - that is where they need to be resolved.
