Is it true that by counting your calorie intake will lose you some weight?

It depends how much you count. If you are counting 5000 calories a day you will surely gain weight. It has to be a number appropriate to your stats (gender, age, height, weight).

To get you started though, appropriate figures might be 1200-1500 for a woman or 1500-1800 for a man.
