Do you know, how to lose weight? I don't know, but I want it. I have tried it for three years, but all what i have done was been false. If you know, how to do it, write it to me, please. :-) I'm 26 and 110kg :-( When I was 21, my weight was 80kg. |

Basic premise for fat loss: Eat less calories then you burn naturally. Use the BMR calculators out there as an estimate for what your body burns just to function and then eat less than it to create a caloric deficit. The greater the deficit, the quicker the fat loss. This will somewhat change as you get down lower and lower in bf%, but for now, this will do the trick. |

If you don't count calories in the foods and drinks you are consuming, do it (at least for a while). If you don't know how to, find out (or ask questions) |

Many people find that walking for about 30 minutes a day really helps them with weight loss. This is a form of exercise often overlooked in favour of signing up for gym membership but it can be a very effective starting point for changing your previous habits and introducing exercise to your daily regime for free. |

Thanks a lot for your advice! It's so hard to eat less but I have to. Also, I want to try some diet. Hope it will help. |

I calculated my BMR, then subtracted my daily caloric intake and subtracted my workout calories burned. I was left with a deficit of 900. |

just to be clear, the deficit calculation is: deficit = (unadjusted RMR/BMR) x 1.2 + (calories burnt with extra exercise) - (caloric intake from food) |

the know how isn't hard at all for me, it's the mind set for me. I need a new mind set to help me get throught this period of depression along with, once again, the weight gain. AAAAAA! |

Sonja, as the admin stated when calories out > calories in you will loose weight. Neednewoutlook I had the same issue, you need something that fits in with your life not something that alters it. I've done DSP before and found it hard as it requires you to make too many changes at once. |

Just following on from my comment yesterday... I used intermittent fasting in the form of eat-stop-eat to reduce calories whilst still enjoying the food I 'loved' every week. I managed to reduce my waist from 34" to 32" using this method. Google 'eat stop eat' for more details. M Last edited on 12 Oct 2011 09:23 am by markleach1 |

For me it was sort of simple, yet took time and patience: 1. Get more active! 2. Learn what healthy foods to eat. 3. Only eat or consume the calories that you need 4. Of the calories that you consume, only consume those that offer your body benefits. No, you do not have to do it all at once, but try and stay focussed and determined. |

I also battled and was on and off diets the main problem was the moment I went on a diet my energy levels seems to drop ?óÔé¼ÔÇ£ like in for real and the lower energy levels the higher the cravings. I?óÔé¼Ôäóm not a lover of sweet things but let me just start a new diet or healthy eating plan and the cravings kick in. My friend introduced me to body2tone, I was really sceptical at the beginning because they also have a healthy lifestyle and recommend exercise ?óÔé¼ÔÇ£ me and exercise, not a good idea! Well this product actually increased my energy levels and blocked those terrible cravings. I?óÔé¼Ôäóm still not the exercise boffin but I do walk with the dog 4 times a week for 30min now. This is the first time I?óÔé¼Ôäóm sticking to something for longer than a month and that is saying something. I?óÔé¼Ôäóm sure there will be something for all of us out there we just need to push the boundaries and find out what our options are. For me having my old friend by my side also pushing hard to lose the extra weight really helped. Good luck! |

Oh, I wanted to add that a book I read did me a wealth of good. "Eat To Live" by Joel Furhman It is a great read and in my opinion, should be a must read for anyone that wants to lead a healthy lifestyle via better choice in foods. AND, as an FYI, I almost never hawk any wares on websites. |

You need to exercise every day, keep your calorie intake low. Have lots of little health low calorie snacks during the day to kick start your metabolism. It took along time to put it on, it will take a long time to get it off.... PATIENCE is the first ingredient, second ingredient is commitment..... I have been there and I have got it off ..... Good Luck |
