Hi! Just joined.. got a question.

I've shed ALOT of weight. Now I kinda got loose skin on my belly and arms and it's icky. I'm still losing weight, so I'm assuming the skin thing is only gonna get worse.

Anything that helps this? It's not a HUGE amount of skin, but enough to make me not want to take off my clothes in front of my boyfriend.

Will the skin tighten by itself?

I listened to it awhile ago, but I really don't remember what all they said, but I remember it was worth a listen

I'm listening to that podcast now, but honestly I've been maintaining for quite a while now and it's not getting better. I think surgery is the only way to get rid of it.

I'm sure there are extents to it as well.  Someone who has lost 100 pounds vs someone who has lost 20 are two totally different things.  I'm not an expert, but I'd assume there is some degree to where these methods don't apply unfortunately and surgery probably is the best answer.  I thought I read an article on this somewhere from previous biggest loser contestants...I'll try to track it down

I listened to the entire thing, and they're right about the 'loose skin' being fat in some places. I have that problem with my arms. That's fat.. and I guess I'll just have to wait for that to go away.

My belly is a different story tho. It used to hang more than it does now.. it only hangs a little bit.. but the skin on it is sorta lumpy and/or wrinkly. I'm hoping this tightens up a bit as I lose the rest of the fat underneath.

Dry brushing the skin is supposed to be effective for toning up loose skin, it's also really healthy way to help the body rid itself of toxins and a great way to reduce acidity in the body, http://www.health-and-natural-healing.com/skin-dry-brushing.html
