Good Afternoon Everyone:smile:

I'm new here and what brought me to this forum besides losing the weight are helpful tips.

I've been having hunger pains for a week now.  I wake up about 1 am hungry, takes a bit to get back to sleep, then I'm real hungry waking up.

I want to be good and am eating 1300-1500 calories.

What can I do?  No I'm not craving anything, I'm just plain ole hungry. lol

It seems I need to eat about every 3 hours which is working out great until I want 8 hours sleep.

Eat a little  protein before bed?

Fiber?

Thank you

I suggest using a food scale to check you are getting enough fruits and vegetables. Let's say a good amount is between 5 and 9 servings so aim for between 500 and 900 grams per day. If you're still hungry then bias it towards vegetables (more veggies less fruit)

Proteins are good because your body can break them down while you are sleep and can help repair muscle and whatever else it needs to do and also it won't be too calorie heavy so you will be able to keep your calories down.

I always found that chugging water helps me with hunger pains. But, that probably wouldn't be a good idea at night. Don't want to be up going to the bathroom either. I would try to rearrange your eating schedule so that you get a large amount before time to sleep so you are not waking up hungry.

Thank you all,

I decide to eat a bit later and have the meal higher in protein.  Its working:)

I thought of water but only for a second. LOL Yes, I would be getting up to empty.

Thank you again,

Also known as starvation, starvation discomfort are emotions of pain strong in the abdomen. A starvation pain is often a low-grade pain that is just powerful enough to see.

I drink a GNC total lean shake when I have hunger pain. It is something in the belly. I will also drink water.
