So as I quest for losing the belly; I saw some visuals that sort of got me excited.  As my previous posts have detailed, im a lean guy but just trying to get rid of that gut that seems to be stubborn for most people, myself included.

In any case, I've also concerned myself with cutting too much weight since I am already a small frame.  But, I realized if I can do my very best to make sure the weight I lose is purely fat; I should be good.

After looking in the mirror at my lean self; along with the bloated belly look; I wasn't sure how much fat that could actually be.  After doing some google searching, I found several videos and images comparing 5lbs of muscle with 5 lbs of fat.  I was very surprised, 5 lbs of fat is quite a big bulky mess.  In my mind, I figured I'd have to lose 10lbs or more to get rid of this gut, but as it appears, the size of 5lbs of fat is pretty similar to my belly.

This excites me because I am currently eating very healthy and exercising very well.  Since the rest of me is lean, I can only imagine if I continue on this healthy track with my calorie deficit of 500; I should see my results in just a month and half give or take.

Anyway, just felt like sharing.....has anyone else looked up the images to get a true visual of what 5lbs of fat and muscle look like?

There are all teh google images...it's an interesting perspective, but like I said; it helped my mindset a little bit.  The pictures where people are holding a model of 5lbs of fat are especially visual; just 5 measley lbs; I can certainly see where that would make an obvious change in the appearance of any individual; especially someone lean like myself.

Wow! That really helps my mindframe seeing those pics. 5 pounds doesn't sound like much, but holy #%@&! it sure does make quite a difference. I've got about 7 or 8 more to go myself, and I was really worried it wouldn't make much of a difference. So much so that I've pretty much just been treading water the last month and quite honestly losing interest. Those pics really give me hope again like I felt 150 pounds ago when I started this journey. Thanks!
