Well, I started "dieting" last week.  I've got about 42lbs to lose and I cut my calories down to 1500 a day.  My start weight was 192 and I'm 5'7/w/f.  About 30 of the pounds I need to lose is baby weight.  I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy.  I really haven't been to see my doctor since having the baby.  I exercised (elliptical 30min) the other morning and after my workout i had a HUGE headache.  I'm affraid that my b/p is still high.  I made an appt. for this afternoon.  I hope everything checks out okay and he will give me the go ahead to start exercising.  (even though I HATE it with a passion!!)  I wonder if he will do any tests or just a regular physical?  Wish me luck!!!!!

I have had problems with my blood pressure also. I would not quit exercising because of it. If you hate exercising so much then try some other things out and find something you like. Or just changing it up every so often can help also. Even just walking is better then nothing...

I agree that a doctor visit is a good idea. But, diet and exercise is always a good thing for your health.
