My doctor suggested I do a full liquid diet for 5-7 days
My question is, I obtained this list from about.com
http://cancer.about.com/od/treatmentoptions/a/fullliquiddiet.htm
can any one provide me with some more info? any specific brand/product or nutrition facts I should be considering on these items?
also some things not listed such as specific drinks are what I also don't know about.
am I allowed to drink vitamin water? Gatorade? power aid? sunny d? any specific brands of pop?
I was told "clear" pops, does this mean diet mountain dew etc or non-colored only?
also, I take fish oil once and a while, I was told this diet is bad to do for a "long period of time" because of the lack of vitamins such as iron, calcium, etc. is it possible for me to continue my fish oil regiment?

| I don't know squat about liquid diets, but it doesn't sound natural to me. I would recommend against it. Maybe just for a day or two to shrink your stomach, then you'll eat less after that.

| I also know nothing about liquid diets but it doesn't seem like a good idea. Actually I am a little surprised your doctor recommended one. Is there any particular reason to do a liquid diet vs just reducing calories?

| You said your doctor recommended it....I suggest that your doctor is the only person appropriate to direct these questions to. Sorry.
