On machines like stairmaster, elliptical, etc., how accurate is the calories burned reading? I use the elliptical machine frequently, and it tells me to enter my weight, age, level, time, and program...I think that's it. I weigh 79 kg (174lbs), and it reads that after 45 minutes of the "Kilimanjaro" or "Hill Plus" program, I've burned something like 600 calories. That seems kind of high...any input? Thanks. :) |

I know this isn't very specific, but I have read that they are generally a little on the high side. You can still use the numbers to compare one workout to the next, however. Peter |
