Though its not known as a fad diet pill, or anything. i am taking it now, beacuse friends from school have been taking it and i can see results, in their muscular physic.
For those of you who don't know what creatine is, it is a supplement that is suppose to build muscle mass, and make you look better if you lift weights - YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS WITHOUT LIFTING WEIGHTS or, the supplement will simply make you gain fat.
Has anyone taken this before? Anyone know about it?
I've been using it for about a week, going to the weight room 3 times a week and working out hard, and i am noticing already in my muscular physic, i am starting to tone down.

I've been using Creatne Monohydrate after workouts because as I understand it we get it naturally from meat and I rarely eat meat. I take it with apple juice as I understand that this helps it get into your bloodstream (OJ is not good for some reason).
My doctor says it's fine.
I take it when I'm working out hard and eating well and so I really can't say if the CM makes a difference or not, but I sure bulk up well.

Mark -
I think you've picked up some misinformation about creatine...
YOU CANNOT TAKE THIS WITHOUT LIFTING WEIGHTS or, the supplement will simply make you gain fat.
Not actually true.
Creatine has no caloric value of itself.
Since it's used to add muscle bulk, there'd be little point in taking it if you didn't intend to use weights.
Creatine doesn't add the bulk - it allows you to work the muscles harder and for longer, thereby offering more possibility of muscle growth.
It's best taken in a loading phase - for about 5 days - and then in a maintenance phase, for a number of weeks. The authorities seem to disagree about the length of the maintenance phase - some even denying that the maintenance phase should be finite.
It's not magic, however, so don't expect to bulk up if you're also restricting your calories to drop body fat. You should be able to shape your muscles, though. Once you're eating to gain weight, you should see the effects come into play.
