Okay, so we've all seen that commercial and most of us said "Yeah, right."  Well, I went out and bought the cheap version of Leptoprin (Leptopril) for $30 a bottle, pretty much 1 month supply.

I haven't started taking them yet.

I want to simply have a little push right now since I am beginning my diet.  I'm not looking for a miracle pill or anything like that.

I may end up trying hoodia gordinii (or however you spell it) and am thinking about Hoodia Hoodia or PowerSlim after reading about them.  But before I do that...

Has anyone taken either of these pills (Leptoprin/Leptopril) and did they work for you?  What about side effects?

I don't know about these products. Hopefully someone else will.

But I want to point out that Hoodia is very unique among diet pills. It does only one thing, help suppress your appetite.

I understand it helps about 95% of people who try it.

P.S.

Glad to hear that you're not looking for a miracle solution to weight loss, just a little "push."

Hey Peter, thanks for your reply!  After I've tried this a bit and see what it does/doesn't do, I may look into getting some of the Hoodia... I did go to hoodia-advice and I found out a lot about it, so that may be my next purchase. :-)

I wouldn't bother with diet pills - they all seem to be a big con. They either dont work, produce a nasty effect or both. Plus I do not want to line the pockets of some pharmaceutical company

I was thinking of using Leptoprin Anorex but apparently it cost pennies to produce and sells for huge mark up. weightlossworld.org/leptoprin.html

I have resigned myself to now EATING LESS.....guess what, its working.

Thank you for your reply, tonyj.  I too have been eating less... and I have a deficit of 750 calories each day.  I have been losing about 1.5lbs a week on average, which is correct for the deficit I achieve.

I have started taking only 1 Leptopril pill a day, when I wake up.  I only do this for a boost in the weight loss, as I am just starting and think that it may help to get the weight loss started.  So far, I have been on them a few days, and with the small dosage I am taking, there aren't any side effects.  I do feel more energized, but since it has caffiene in it, I'm sure that is to be expected.  Especially since I very rarely drink anything with caffiene in it... I stick to my water. :-)

Like I said in my post when I started this thread, I am not looking for a miracle pill... Just something to give me a boost in the beginning of my weight loss journey.  I don't believe there is anything on the market today that will make me lose the 66 lbs I still need to lose without my dieting & exercising.

I have researched Hoodia quite a bit and going to give it a try. Read this report from a bbc correspondant  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/correspondent/2947810.stm

The trouble now is which brand - there appears to be lots of different variations and brand names.

My checklist is:

Must contain the p57 herb, must have a CITES Certificate and must have 400mg per capsule as per

http://www.whatslimmingpills.com/hoodia-appetite-suppressants/

and

http://www.kentgarden.co.uk/2008/02/16/hoodia-diet-pills-facts/

I am going to try a couple months worth - but If they do not work (or I do not feel any different in terms of a reduced appetite) I will send them back for a refund and complain to anyone that will listen

Hi there.  I recently started taking hoodia, ck the "hoodia, current experiences' thread.  I went to this website http://hoodiagordoniiguide.com/hoodia_sitemapg.htm  and it had a ton of good advice.  I picked the liquid stuff and the company is great!  One of the bottles leaked a little on the way to me and I e-mailed them about it, I didn't ask for a replacement, but they sent me a new bottle free of charge within 3 days.  I think it helps, it doesn't kill my snacking/craving but it gives my willpower a fighting chance.

good luck
