A lot of people ask if these pills work or not. I started my diet 6 weeks ago today and have been taking these pills ever since. I started out with the recomended dosage of 2pills 2x day, excercise and 700 calories a day. Week 2 I upped that to 2 pills 3 times a day same amount of exercise and calories. Week 3 the same. Week 4 to Now I have taken 3pills 4 times a day. Exercise has increased and calories have increased to 1000. I went from a size 18 in week one to a now size 14. 2x size shirt to a size L. I think the pills were a big help in my weightloss. It helped keep my mind off of food and they helped remind me that I was on a journey to lose weight. They dont make you feel jittery or a rush of energy. I feel refreshed every morning, just overall healthier.
I dont use a scale. I think those are very depressing to even think about. I use my clothes instead. It just motivates me to get out there and get moving when they dont just fit right.
My goal is to be healthy, run a mile without stopping once, and of course to be at a healthy weight range.
5'8 last time i checked my weight was before i ever got started which was 213. So I know Im probably around 190 or maybe less.

Interesting. I've been taking Mega-T green tea pills, 1-2 a day and they've helped with my appetite, which I wasn't expecting because I just wanted the energy boost and diet pills usually don't do much for my hunger or just make it worse. It seems you're going through a lot of pills. That must be costing you a lot. You seem to be doing well! I can't do the ultra low calorie thing. What brand are you taking? What kind of exersice are you doing? Good luck and be careful.

| I take Natures Bounty natural whole herb green tea extract 315mg. I buy them at Walgreens for 10$ a bottle. They usually have a buy one get one free special so i stock up. As for excercise I go over to the high school and excercise in the mornings. I walk 2 laps then run 1 then walk 2 laps and run 1 again. Then I do the bleechers. 2 sets of 5 ups and downs. 60steps in one set. So it is quiet an intense workout.. sometimes i push it and do extra up/downs on the stairs....Then I walk up to the elementry after school to pick my kids up from school which is 1 mile one way. I try to keep busy all day long. As for calories. I usually have a bowl of cereal or banana for breakfast. I have Subway for lunch, the 6in turkey on wheat bread with apples and a water which is 315cals. Lot of food for little calories. Dinner I usually just eat a salad and a peice of chicken. For splurges i have a kids size sno cone. Eat a couple of bites then throw it away or give it to the kids. Last edited on 30 Apr 2007 05:56 pm by SILLYSGIRL

My daughter just told me I ought to try them. My big concern is how it will affect my blood pressure (which has been known to hit 180/124). The pills I take for it usually keep it in check, but caffeine, stress and/or pain make it go sky high again.
Any thoughts?

I havent had a problem with my blood pressure while on these pills...They arent like the normal diet pills that make your heart race. They are supposed to work for your body not against. I think you should try them!

| Oooh, I think I'll have these. I think you might be pushing the dosage a little overboard, (you don't want too much of a good thing) but other than that I'd say this sounds good. A LOT of studies are comming out about the goodness of green tea and green tea products. I drink at least a cup a day with my cheerios. I think I bought those suppliment pills a few months back so I'll have to remember to start taking them again because they sound very healthy.

One thing I would be concerned about with these supplements is the antoxidants. According to WebMD no studies have been done to test the affects of antioxidants in supplement form on the body, just kind of scary for me

I've tried the Mega-T green tea pills and they've helped my lose 40 of the 50 lbs I've lost so far. they're good for added energy, which is a problem I sometimes have. I also advise to not take too much of it. besides all that caffiene (which is a diaretic), your body can only absorb so much of a supplement before it just expends the rest in poo and therefore doesn't help you at all.
Excersice is also important with this pill, obviously. The green tea helps boost your motabolism, but that doesn't mean much if you don't burn those calories through excersize. From what I've read it takes a 3500 calorie burn over calorie intake before you lose 1 pound. So work it baby work it.
