I discovered a program located in Florida that uses HCG and Phentermine as a weightloss solution. I was wondering if anybody has ever used either product and do they have any major side effects? I am very interested in going on the program because I have friends that are currently on the program and they are losing several pounds per week. Can anyone shed some light on this matter??? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advanced for all your responses.

Hi.....my sister was on those and she lost a tremendous amount of weight and has kept it off for 2 years now. She went from a size 18 to a 0 and sometimes 00 :D. I am now on it myself (I just started last week) and so far I have lost a total of 13 lbs. I am not hungry and fell great. I still want to lose 106 lbs so I have a long way to go. Any suggestions here would be appreciated also.

Hi Cynda,

Congrats on your weight loss.

I don't know anything about this subject so I won't say much. But unless you plan to stay on drugs or supplements all your life, you will eventually need to learn to eat well. So please be working on that, too.

Hi Peter and Thank You.

I don't plan on being on them forever I am just using them this first month (thats all) to help out on my change of diet. I have already changed the way I eat and more importantly the things I eat. Walking is now a part of my everyday life and I plan on keeping it that way. I have been for the past few months giving up on things that I really like that I knew would be hard to stop cold turkey. I no longer wake up thinking I have to have a soda before I open my eyes and it's been 4 weeks since my last one and I really can't believe that I have done it and I don't even think about it much at all and now I can go into any place and just order water. I also have given up on salt and no more junk food or fast food for me. It's healthly vegetables and fruits as much as anything. I vowed to lose 119 lbs by next Christmas and if I continue to eat and exercise properly I know I can achieve it. I joined this site hoping i'd have encouragement from others to keep at it and so far it's been a really cool site. Thanks for watching out for people and looking out for there best interests.

P.S.

Sorry... just can't resist adding... what's important is what you're learning and the progress you're making. If you want to set a specific weight loss goal, fine. But it you miss it it DOESN'T mean you've failed!

I started the HCG shot (here in Florida) about two weeks ago.  The very first week, I lost 4.6 pounds, and during the second week, I lost two inches from my bustline, waist and hips.  A friend of mine introduced me to the clinic.  She completed the eight weeks, and went from a size 12-14, down to an 8-10.  They say on average, if you use the shot ALONG WITH the diet, it works, but the diet is IMPORTANT, or you won't lose anything.  It really teaches you to eat better, and forces you to think about everything you put in your mouth.  Honestly, I love the clinic, and the entire plan.  I've already dropped one size... and I'm looking forward the future results.  What I do like about the clinic, is they do blood work, there is doctor and nurses in the office, and they really do care.  If you try it, I'm sure you'll like it.:)

Phentermine works by triggering a fight-or-flight response. It acomplishes this by changing the Seratonin levels in the brain and releasing Adrenaline and other related chemicals. This can result in, among other things, heightened blood-pressure, a feeling of panic, insomnia (or, in some, drowsiness) and a loss of appetite.

It is only recommended for moderate weight-loss and for short-term use. Some contra-indications for use are: it is known to be dangerous for people who are already suffering from high blood-pressure or Glaucoma. It can be addictive, and abruptly quitting use of Phemtermine (going "cold turkey") has been known to cause lethargy, depression, and similar related conditions. Some other known side effect include changes in insulin requirements (hyper or hypo glycemia) as well as loss of sexual function (impotence).

What is hCG?

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone that is produced by the placenta of a pregnant woman. It is detectable in the blood and urine within 10 days of fertilization and hence forms the basis of all pregnancy tests. Because human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is produced by the placenta, the presence of HCG in a woman's blood indicates that she is most probably pregnant. A pregnancy blood test or a pregnancy serum test measures the exact amount of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), in the bloodstream.

why would anyone do this?

This website should answer your questions...

http: //www.yweight.cc/

It's been six weeks, and I'm still doing well.  I've lost a total of 16 inches overall from waist, arms, thighs, and chest.  In pounds, I've lost 15 pounds.  The diet is pretty strict, and if I really sticked to it, I would have lost more, but I'm happy with my results, and have gotten numerous compliments.  They do assist with maintenance once you've reached your goal weight and you decide that you no longer want to do the shots.  You can check in weekly for weigh ins and advice for no charge.  They do offer herbal supplements to assist in boosting your metabolism, and offer advice on what diet will assist you in maintaining your goal weight.  You do the shots for 5 days per week, for 8 weeks, then take 3 weeks off, because after 8 weeks your body becomes immune to it, so you take a break for three weeks, and you can begin again if you choose.  I haven't reached my goal weight yet, so I will more than likely do them for a second cycyle, but after that, we'll see what happens.  My friend that introduced me to the clinic looks awesome.  She hasn't done the shots in three months, and she has maintained her goal weight.  She maintains a healthy diet with a splurge here and there, but nothing out of control.  Do the research for yourself, and determine what's best for you.  The nurses at the clinic will provide you with plenty of information for you to make an informed decision.  Good luck! :)

VerySherry, thanks for the insight with the websites you've posted.  I've concluded my 8 weeks and at this point I haven't experienced any of the potential side effects from the sites you posted.  I have friends that completed the program back in late June/early July, and they haven't experienced any of the side effects either.  They've been able to maintain their weight also.  While I haven't personally seen any evidence of the side effects in those that I do know, I won't take it lightly that those things could occur.  But I also think that the side effects, if they occured, occured in those that continued the shots for an extended period of time.  I know there are some that have continued them for a period of several months for a chronic obesity problem, as was told to me by the nurses.  Luckily, I don't have that problem, and won't need to continue the program to that extent.  I will check in with the nurses for maintenance....  Thus far, I've lost 16 pounds, and feel quite well.  My blood pressure has maintained at 120/80, and I plan to continue eating healthy.  :)

I have currently lost 20 lbs on this program. I really enjoy how I feel now & have dropped 2 pant sizes! I lost all of this weight WITHOUT using the appetite suppressants, just the hCG injections & diet.

verysherryberry, they use a VERY SMALL dosage of hCG. One injection is 125 units & during pregnancy, a woman would produce between 5,000 - 100,000 units.

The point of the injections is to break down the abnormal stored body fat. This, in conjunction with an 800 calorie diet helps you lose weight as well as inches.

Now that I am done with the program, they have taught me healthier eating habits and tell me that if ever I need support or have questions that I can come in and speek to one of the nurses.

Also, you are weighed and get your blood pressure by a nurse every visit. If there is something wrong, you will be seen by their doctor and he/she will determine if you will be able to do any prescriptions that week.

Note! On Phentermine you will lose weight but you will also lose your spirit, your conscience, your integrity and your relationships. It changes the internal brain compound sort of like a " Dr. Jeykl & Mr.Hyde" concoction. It had me so frantic that I would open the capsules and put the granules on my tongue to get into my system faster. Be afraid be very afraid.for some people it is the devil. Works differently on many people when I take it within 45mins. I am on the floor scrubbing by hand, repainting the house, reorganizing, and moving 100 miles per hour. Gave the exact same pill to my brother and he went into a deep sleep. what gives?

Ijust started this diet myself.Ionly need to lose 10 lbs. Iwas eating very wrong, mostly at night. I was curious if anyone here got the shots and the meds before your blood work returned to the doctor in the clinic? I did one week later and I was told to take the results to my own doctor.   My results came back with a high potassium count. I have not been told to discontinue use. The results are coming in the mail though.  My doctor is very upset with all and does not like this HCG buisness.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.  I have lost 3 lbs. so far. If I were excersizing more I would lose faster.  Thanks

Hopefully someone will reply since it's been a while since the last post.  But I and some of my coworkers are doing Phentermine.  I only have about 35lbs to lose.  And I've been working out regularly like 5 days a week.  I'm using it to help curb my eating.  I'm the kind who eats well during the day, and for most nights in the week, but it's really the weekends when it all goes to waste.  I've been on Phentermine for 3 full days now.  And I feel pretty good.  I'm in good health and have good blood pressure.  I'm really just hoping to get a good boost to my weight loss.  I've lost about 76 lbs in the last 18 months since I've had my daughter but for the past several months I've been gaining and losing the same 5 lbs.  I'm trying to get most of my weight at least 20 lbs off by the end of the year because in January I'm starting to look for my wedding gown!!!  Any thoughts on those who have used just Phentermine would be nice.

Hello  It has been a while since I posted. I see there has been lot's of responces. I only did this hcg and pills for 2 weeks. I got scared of the shot. I did start a diet called The Flash Flush diet and lost and additional 3 lbs. I did lose 5 lbs on the Transformation Medical Diet first. This new diet is great very organic. Very similar to the first diet I was on. I lost a total of 8 lbs. and I am happy with that. I only needed to lose 10 lbs anyway.  Happy Holidays!!

I just wanted to add that I used this program about 2 yrs ago and lost 45 lbs in 5 months. The program is great. The appetite suppressants can give some weird side effects. I was always ''wired'' which wasn't too bad for those long nights of cramming for an exam.. it can give you really dry mouth which can associate BAD BREATH :dizzy:

I just had a baby 3 months ago and gained 60 lbs, so I plan on starting the program again...but this time WITHOUT the Phentermine :)

Did you find a place in Scottsdale that you could get the hcg injections?  Would be very interested.  Afterall, isn't the estrogen women take for menopause from horse's urine? Hense: Pre'mare'ine. I believe I would rather take a human hormone.

sorry, don't know a place in scottsdale.

if you're even in florida though, you can go to the first inital appointment and then they would be able to mail you the meds you need. I asked about this, they said they have a lot of people out of state that do this.

HCG is great for weightloss if you need a strong dose of behavior modification.  I've lost over 50 lbs and kept it off for 5 years now because of HCG.  I was referred to it by my friend who lost almost that and has kept it off for over 8 years now and has a figure like Deborah Messing!  You can find info at hcgdietinfo.com along with a directory of hcg providers and clinics in various locations.  Or you can search googleforweightloss.com and it will make it easier to find the information since it only returns weightloss and diet related websites.  Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi I am From SHelby NC. I was grossly over weight and was very skeptical at first to try any type of weight loss program. I found on called Totally Fit 4 Life.  They have change my life. I have lost over 60 pounds and feel so wonderful. It is a great program becuase they not only give you a diet program to follow, which by the way is not a fad diet but one you can live with, but they also give you an exercise program and use phentermine as an appaetite suppressant. Which works wonderfully. I had very few side effects while taking the medication. the worst was dry mouth. I also used the HCG injections. Which were absolutley great!!!! I saw termendous inch loss while taking this injection. It also helped with my PMS and moodiness. I would reccommend this program toanyone trying to loose weight. They have two clinics in NC ... one in Hickory and one in Shelby NC. If you do choose a program make sure youget the individual attention i did at Toatlly Fit 4 LIfe.

Try the hcg provider directory on hcgdietinfo.com The site also has general information on the hcg diet, a copy of the original hcg diet manuscript by Dr. Simeons, hcg diet recipes, tips for mixing, diet instructions, etc, etc, etc.

Hi,  I am new here and have some questions for those of you going to transformations medical weight loss clinic.  I have been over weight most of my life, about 2 years ago I lost 50lb using phentermine and exercise.  I just recently had a baby and have gained back about 60lbs.  I came across transformations web site and am very intrigued about their use of HCG in conjuction with diet and exercise.  Can anyone tell me how much the initial visits and those thereafter cost?  Money is somewhat tight right now.  Also, I am blessed with hypothyroidism but my lab levels are under control.  I have never been to any weight loss clinic, will my thyroid problem keep me from being a patient?

Hi there.

I just started the HCG injections last week and will only be getting them once a week due to the fact that it's quite a drive to the medical office that administers them. While the shots are financially do-able for me, the drive cuts into my 9-5 work day by at least an hour or so even with their earliest appt time which is 8:00am. The doctor mentioned that once a week should be fine for me as I only really want to lose 20-25 pounds and already eat a really low-cal diet and exercise. However I've cut my calories from 1200 a day to between 800-1000 (never going over) and while I don't weigh myself (I get too depressed when I do so I go off how the clothes fit), I've noticed some slimming in my upper legs and hips area. My pants fit looser. Almost to the point that they're falling off!

I do have a question to those of you who have had success with the HCG injections though. How many times a week were/are any of you receiving them? Like any of you, I want this weight to come off as quickly as possible and see that some have lost up to 10 pounds per week! I don't know that I could dip as low as 500 calories a day unless I took an appetite suppresant. Does anyone have any advice for me? I've done my research and truly feel this is the way to go but I want to make sure I'm doing EVERYTHING right to make this weight loss HAPPEN!

Thank you for your time and I look forward to any advice from those of you who are PRO-HCG for weight loss.

Best!

Phentermine is a nasty substance. At 5'6'', I weighed around 145. I was not happy with that weight and wanted to get back down to my pre-baby weight of 125. The first week on Phentermine was wonderful. I dropped 10lbs and really cleaned my house. However, it also made me irritable and edgy. The positive effects lessened and the negative effects increased. Eventually I had to choose between being a little heavier, being a good mother, and having a realationship or being thinner and alone. After quitting the pills, I gained weight and I am now 170lbs. If I had left my body alone...I would be in the 140's. I was not fat before and I feel that this is a common trap that women fall prey to. When I look back at the pictures where I am on speed, I look thin but unhealthy. I'm sure this is not what anyone wants to hear...but....eat better, exercise and appreciate the body that you have. If you are overweight, exercise more and eat fewer calories. Boring...eh? :chewing:

But well worth the money. The Hcg shots are given once a week at home or doctor office. You get 4 per month. The pills are 37.5mg, You take a half pill a day for 30 days. They really work. Lots of energy, a feeling of well being. I am excited to see how my neighbor does the next couple of onths and I will report back. www. Letsgetthin.com

Hey im new to this forum but been browsing it for some months on and off. It will be hard for you to get a script from a doctor for hgc unless you are clinically obese. I tried 3 doctors and they all told me the same thing, eat right and excersize. I was 330 pounds this time last year and with the help of hcg injections and i personal trainer i am now just over 220 pounds.

I am also part of a hgc support group which is part of yahoo groups and we all get our hcg from drug delivery.ca

drugdelivery.ca/s33559-s-HCG-PREGNYL.aspx

please join us on yahoo groups in your interested

Cynda, I think that is fantastic. I read the success story by the editor of hcg diet info and saw that's what she did as well. It's inspiring to hear it's working for you too!

Desireangel- before you purchase hcg, you may want to try the hcg provider directory on hcg diet info.com... if you haven't already.  I've noticed a lot of people are quick to suggest importing hcg for weight loss, but there are soooo many doctors and weight loss clinics that follow the hcg protocol now, and it really makes it easier to have a doctor to direct all your questions to.  Plus, then you can come back here and share the information he/she tells you ;)

Dr. ATW Simeons operated a weight loss clinic in Rome, Italy in the 70s. After 30 years of experience, he perfected his treatment of obesity by combining a very low calorie diet with the injection of hcg. In his clinical outcome study, he found his patients would lose .5 to 1.5 pounds per day.

The treatment is not FDA approved for weight loss, however it has since been shown to increase the rate of fat loss when compared with just the diet.

This treatment can be combined with phentermine to help with appetite control, however it is not required.

Hcg is available as a prescription item only through a physician.

People interested in learning more can visiting www. hcgobesity.org for research and information on this wonderful weight loss program.

This program is also offered from a physician at Skinovative Laser Center located in Chandler, AZ. They can be reached at 480-855-7546

Hi CheriG.  Where do you get your HCG. I like that I'm getting it from the Dr. and that she is supervising my program -- I go in weekly for weigh in an blood pressure check. However, she is very expensive. I'm thinking I will probably want to do a second round in a few months. Do know how to safely order HCG online, or any other way of getting it in Scottsdale?

Hi,

I am going to medshape in Mesa.  I will go every two weeks and get wieghed, and pick up enough syringes for two weeks. This is also Dr. supervised and it is 960.00 dollars. Is your person in Scottsdale? And how are you doing? This is day 5 of VLCD

CheriG -

Her name is Dr. Linda Wright, and her office is in the Scottsdale Airpark -- Scottsdale road and Butherus. The cost for the first round is $1400.00. I am only on day 3 of the VLCD, and lost 4 lbs. on days 1&2.  I've been hungry, so she increased my dosage to 150cc/day.

I had no idea about someone closer. I accidentally found this one when I was on the internet looking for hormone pellets. I didn't know about hcg until then.  I have read on alot of sites where they are getting this through the mail. I may try that in the future.  At medshape I supppose to be enrolled for up to a year  or goal weight. I wonder if your diet is the same as mine.

It is Dr. Simeon's protocol -- 40 injections and 500cal/day diet. That is what costs $1400.00.  If I decide I want to do a 2nd or 3rd round, it costs additional. Scottsdale prices, I guess.

I saw this link posted for a clinic in FL

 http://www.yweight.cc/

I am just hearing about this...it was on the "Morning Show". I thought it must be something new...but as I do research, it has been around forever.

I have such a hard time losing weight after my hysterectomy...I need to lose like 80 lbs.

I'd be open to learning more about this. I am in Glendale AZ. If anyone knows a reputable clinic here...or a reputable onlline connection...please share!

Hi,

I totally understand.  Weight has always been a problem for me and became more so after going on thyroid, and again after a hysterectomy.

I went to Medshape in Mesa for hcg and they have an office in Glendale. I don't know they are the most attentive group but it is medically supervised.

Best of luck,

I can tell you that HCG works. Do a search on youtube for HCG and you will find many people who were on the HCG course have posted their daily progress.
I did an extensive reasearch on it and for the record it is not a cure invented by that fraudster kevin T. It is something he too from a doctor.
I am sure it works without side effects, but I would never take it though and I would never recomend it to anyone as a quick fix. Eat healthy and excercise is the way to go.
But I would definately recomend it over lap band surgery and gastric bypass.
It is 3 am in the morning and I need to sleep and i will post again with more details.

I cannot say the same for phentermine, there are results but it may not be healthy. It is drug needless to say so I never researched it in detail.

But HCG is natural hormone produced by the human body and the HCG available is all natural, There is no synthetic HCG, but that is not good news because all HCG is produced from pregnant ladies pee.

More details later, if only you are desperate and are looking towards gastric bypass or alli(yes I would suggest HCG above alli or any other pharmecutical drug)
Otherwise excercise and diet is the way to go.
