I live  North Scottsdale and your location would of been more convienent.  Medshape hasn't been bad it just hasn't been great either.  I have got most of info on the internet on how to proceed so sometimes I feel lost.

I wanted to add that I have started the oral HCG program but it is in Argentina.  It is $480 a week and it comes with a lymphatic drainage massage and  a mesotherapy treatment each week.  I has only been a week and a half and I have lost over 10 lbs, but I want to comment that I was not really extremely over weigh just needed help losing 15 lbs or more in places that were really hard to lose with just diet and exercise.  But I met a lady who was really over weight and she said that she has lost 16 lbs in just a few days.  He is a great doctor and they are very caring there.  The lady said she liked coming here because there wasn't as many distractions to make her cheat from her diet, like a McDonald's on ever corner.  Depending on how much weight you need to lose, you don't have to stay here a month they can send you hom with medication. And if you rent an apartment and cook your own meals it isn't too expensive, because I don't know how much it is in the united states, but I read one of the blog and it said $1400 for one week and that is alot because you need to continue onto the next phase.

I recommend it if you have 2 or 3 weeks where you can focus on you and come down to buenos aires...

Rose, how long were you on the program?  What did you find to be the most difficult and the easiest about the plan?  What do you need to do to maintain?  I've just started researching the HCG.  I read about it in Kevin Trudeau's book and what he said about the doctor that founded this diet.  Still not sure.:dizzy:

Go for it.  This diet works.  I've lost 18 pounds in 19 days and I feel great.  I am full of energy, after the first 4 days I don't really have any hunger until it's time to eat.  You just have to commit to it, it's not a diet that you can cheat on.  I lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks the first time that I did it but I gained the weight back because I didn't finish phase 3.  This time I will finish correctly and maintain my weight loss.  I wouldn't do any  phetermine or any drug though.  This goes againist the priciples of the diet which is to bring back balance to your body.  You might lose faster but I suspect that you will not maintain by throwing your body off with drugs.  You don't need it anyway, just drink the teas with stevia and along with the hcg hunger is not an issue.  Also there are a lot of sources for hcg ranging from $100 for do it yourself to apparently as posted above $1000,s for a clinic.  There are mail order places in between that will order blood tests and then prescribe the hcg and send you everything in the mail for self injecting.  You just have to pick which method you are comfortable with and able to afford.   Good Luck!

I agree with Peter very much.  You have to ask yourself - Okay, am I going to use these drugs\pills the rest of my life?  Is it safe?

The answer is probably 'no'.  So what is the best thing to do?  Without question, seek out a balanced and realistic lifestyle approach to weight loss \ weight management.

Absolutely not, you don't have to do this for the rest of your life.  That's what the hcg is about, permanent weight loss. It's not just about losing the weight, it's about resetting your hypothymus to function properly and if you follow the eating plan layed out in phase 4 of Kevin Trudeau's book The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You To Know About & exercise moderately then you won't mess it up again and you won't gain the weight back.  If done properly this will be the last diet that you ever do.  But if you go back to eating chemical laden processed food, artifical sweeteners, msg, fast food, & eat in chain restaurants then don't bother because you will just gain the weight back.

It's important to learn about our food supply and why we are getting fatter & fatter.  The food industry is doing it on purpose and unless you educate yourself and start eating whole foods and avoiding the chemicals that they are putting in our food to make us addicted and fat then dieting is a waste of time.

Phentermine is even worse than HCG for side effects.

It's conceivable that so many people have had weight loss from HCG and/or Phentermine, but it's also quite possible that they have damaged their bodies in ways unknown to them.

It's true that every body is different, but I have yet to meet one single person who could not get down to a healthy weight from proper diet and exercise alone, unless perhaps they have a medical condition (and no, I'm not talking about underactive thyroid - all that means is that you'll just have to work a bit harder.)

Most people use fad pills, shots, etc. (and that's exactly what both HCG and Phentermine are - a fad, even if they have been around a long time) so that they don't have to put forth a lot of effort, or because they're not seeing results quickly enough.

For some people, it's harder to lose weight than others. That might be unfair, but that's just the way it is. People in said situation will just have to work harder, and do their research so that they can make knowledgeable health choices.

It's no one's fault but my own that I got up to over 350 pounds. I could sit here and say, "It must be my body's metabolism," or some other such excuse. In the end, though, that's all it is - AN EXCUSE. I, not my body, and not anyone else, chose not to have the willpower to change it at that time.

In the end, it's up to each of us what we do to our bodies, but it's important to take personal responsibility, too. Saying, "I just couldn't lose the weight otherwise" is a pure and simple copout. No, odds are you either were not trying hard enough, or you didn't wait for long enough.

Just a little dose of truth.

People, hCG is not a drug it's a hormone that is produced buy the body when pregant. there are no side affects of hCg. The FDA has approved hCG for other medical uses but not weight loss. if there were problems with this hormone then the medical profession would not use it at all. If you are going to "tell the truth" state all of them.

Directly from the FDA's website:

This deceptive practice is injection with HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). HCG is a hormone extracted from urine of pregnant women. It is approved by FDA for treatment of certain problems of the male reproductive system and in stimulating ovulation in women who have had difficulty becoming pregnant. No evidence has been presented, however, to substantiate claims for HCG as a weight-loss aid.

An article in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) in 1974 stated:
"No convincing scientific evidence exists that human chorionic gonadotropin has any pharmacologic effect in weight reduction. Hence, claims to the public that such effects do occur are a misrepresentation of the scientific facts."
FDA requires all labeling and advertising of HCG to state that it has not been demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of obesity. The ads must also state that HCG is not approved by FDA as safe and effective in treatment of obesity of weight control.

Yet the use of HCG for weight loss continues. For instance, advertisements for weight-loss clinics using HCG appeared in the Chicago area in the summer of 1982. The ads included the required disclaimer, but in type much smaller than that used to extol the virtues of the clinics' program.

The pill or shot to enable a person to lose weight without danger and without eating less has not been formulated. And the garment or other device to let one firm up or lose inches without moving a muscle has yet to be invented.

It looks like those who want to be slim will have to resort to those old, unglamorous standbys--eating less and exercising more--to shake those excess pounds.

Note the bolded parts - the FDA clearly states that it is not safe as a weight-loss aid.

And HCG can indeed have many side effects, including the following:

An allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);

Pain, warmth, redness, numbness, or tingling in an arm or leg (which may indicate a blood clot); or

Confusion, severe dizziness, or severe headache (which may indicate a blood clot in the head).

A small percentage of female patients treated with HCG have developed the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), especially after the first cycle of therapy. Symptoms of OHSS include severe pelvic pain, swelling of the hands or legs, abdominal pain and swelling, shortness of breath, weight gain, low urine output, diarrhea, and nausea or vomiting. OHSS can be fatal. Notify your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if you develop any of these symptoms.

Also, Rose, you said:

"If there were problems with this hormone then the medical profession would not use it at all."

So...are you saying that the medical profession always has our best interests at heart? I don't think so. More people are already on drugs than what is actually necessary.

Also, I never said that HCG was a drug. It is a naturally occuring substance, yes, BUT THE BODY DOES NOT PRODUCE IT FOR WEIGHT LOSS. The body produces urea, also. Does that mean it's safe to inject urea into your bloodstream? Be logical.

On a final note, some of the potential side effects are very serious, indeed. It irks me when people like you come here and make outrageous claims like, "This is a miracle treatment and there are no side effects at all!" You also claimed in another thread that none of the people treated by your doctor with HCG experienced any side effects at all. You know this...how? Did your doctor tell you that? Are you just blindly promoting HCG without all the facts? Or do you actually work for this doctor? I'm inclined to believe the latter, based on the way you come across.

In any case, these are people's lives you are messing with here. I'm all for personal choice, but it's critical you present all the facts so that people can make informed decisions.

EDIT: Actually, it appears you do work for this doctor, by your own admission. Not only does that make your opinion biased, but I recommend you do a bit of actual research into HCG, instead of relying on what your doctor says, who clearly appears to have her own interests at heart, not yours or anyone else's.

As for the Phentermine I totally agree with you.  It is a toxic drug and is NOT a part of the HCG Therapy.  Some doctors that are using the hcg therapy also like to prescribe Phentermine but it has no place in this natural therapy and in my opinion works aganist the principles of this diet which is to bring the body back into balance.

As for the FDA statements above they have absolutely no proper research to back up what they are saying.  The FDA is a runaway corrupt organization that is being controlled by the billion dollar food and drug organizations whose profits are being threatened by anything that will actually solve the obesity epidemic in this country.  If you are going to trust the FDA with your health then I feel for sorry for your future.  What have they given us, the recently first ever FDA approved diet drug ALLI whose own literature warns users not to wear white pants(uncontrolled bowels and all)  And it's only a matter of time until the side effects start rolling in the lawsuits.  And how about all the FDA approved drugs that have been recalled due to thousands of serious health problems and deaths.  There are too many to list.

Do your reasearch on the HCG diet and you will find that it has been used since the 50's and when done correctly there are no complications.  HCG is a natural substance, not a drug, and the amount used is so small.  Any properly done study has proven how well it works.  And I have the best research for myself, I have done it, I have many friends who have done it and have had wonderful results and no side effects, well other then being full of energy and having total body reshaping without drugs or surgery.  Now that's a side effect that I can handle.

I brought the FDA into my post in response to rose's FDA statement. I realize that the FDA has their own agenda. So do practitioners who endorse HCG. It's really no different.

Yes, there have been serious health problems and deaths associated with recalled drugs. However, there have likewise been serious health problems and deaths associated with HCG. If that was not the case, they wouldn't be listed as potential side effects.

Finally, I have done a good deal of research into HCG. I have also read several people's online testimonials. Many of them have claimed success. Likewise, many have claimed that they wish they had never done it due to resulting health problems.

Also, especially with how long HCG has been used a weight-loss aid, if it was truly as safe and effective as you claim, it would already have become mainstream. Many quack companies would already have been put out of business, similar to when Rogaine came out.

In the end, as I said earlier, we all make our own choices. However, it's important to make informed decisions, and you are clearly either blindly promoting a treatment without really understanding it, or promoting it for your own gain. Most people have enough common sense to not believe statements along the line of, "This weight-loss treatment is absolutely miraculous and nobody ever has any problems with it." Even people who lose weight the right way occasionally have problems.

Finally, hopefully most people won't make any decisions solely based on what we say here, or what doctors say, or what the FDA says. Do your OWN research, and you will see what HCG really is - a potentially dangerous weight loss treatment option that is likely not worth the risks involved, nor even necessary for the vast majority of people. Guys and gals, take time and lose it the RIGHT WAY. Where there is a will, there is a way.

has everyone seen these hcg diet blogs?

what do you think, it seems that they are losing weight but not as much as you would expect, 20 pounds in 8 weeks is not a success in my eyes.

Really, I would like you to site the research where the low dose amounts of HCG used in association with this protocol have lead to serious health problems and deaths.  Since you've done your research and all.  Actually the side effects on the box are related to heavy doses of hcg used for other purposes not the extremely low doses used on this protocol.

And I'd love to know where you have found negative testimonials from people who have actually done this protocol CORRECTLY(that being the operative word).  In all of my research I haven't found any from anyone who's done it right.  All of the negative stuff that I have found is from people who not only haven't done the protocol but who really don't know anything about how it works  But if they are there I'd love to know where to find them.

And as for me I have nothing to gain from promoting this therapy.  I'm just a woman who has struggled with weight my whole life and have found an answer that I feel passionate about sharing with others who have struggled like me.  It's not that I don't believe that diet & exercise alone doesn't work for a lot of people but it doesn't work for everyone.  Everyone's bodies are different and some people need more help.  This protocol has worked for me and offers me a lifetime solution.  I have many friends who it has worked for just as well and I don't know anybody that has done this protocol and commited to it and had anything short of wonderful life changing results.  It's not for everyone, but it is the answer for a lot of people.

And I am an all natural, organic only person.  I haven't even taken an aspirin or a tylenol in over 2 years (this even with a sprained ankle).  Hcg is all natural and I am healthier then I've ever been.  My friends have commented on how my skin and eyes are radiant and how healthy I look.  I would never have done this therapy if it was detrimental to my health.

And it doesn't have to be expensive.  Buy the book, get it 2nd hand if you don't want the author making the money.  You can also get the original manuscript online for free.  I got my hcg online for less then $100 and the supplies for less then $25.  If you take into account the money that I save in food then this diet has cost me nothing and given me everything.  If you feel more comfortable going through a doctor then do.  It's more expensive but still worth it.

All that I'm saying CrimsonAnimus is share your experience, if diet & exercise alone has worked for you then wonderful, share that.  But don't talk about something that you truly have no personal experience or knowledge about and try to dissuade others from finding a solution that may be different from yours but that will work for them.

It was never my intent to start a debate in this thread, but rather to show people both sides of the coin.

It's good that you're happy, and that you've found something that works well for you, but please do not claim it's because you couldn't lose weight otherwise. I have never met a single person in my life who could not lose weight from proper diet and exercise. As I said, some people, like me, have to work harder than others. It's unfair, yes, but that's life. I'm not saying that people who take HCG or other quick weight loss fixes haven't tried, but they most likely just didn't try hard enough.

As far as sources go, I already quoted the FDA, which, whether you like it or not, actually does know more than both of us about the subject.

Here are two more:

http://health.yahoo.com/reproductive-medications/human-chorionic-gonadotropin-hcg-injectable/healthwise--d00572a1.html

http://www.dietscam.org/reports/hcg.shtml

There are plenty of people online who claim to have used HCG and had positive and negative results. They're just that, though - claims, just like yours, that can't be verified one way or the other. Instead, I choose to stick to facts. There is not a single diet/exercise regimen that has no side effects. Not one. Even losing weight the right way can produce side effects for some people. It's important to understand these risks so that we can make informed decisions.

Finally, like you, I have struggled with being overweight for my whole life. I was 330 pounds when I was 17 years old, and remained over 300 until now, 9 years later. When you think of people like me, you think of people who sit down and eat the likes of 5 fried chickens, or 10 steaks and baked potatoes. I've never eaten like that, and probably averaged about 2500-3500 calories daily before I started this, even at 350 pounds. Yes, I am one of those people who gains weight very, very easily. I have to exercise my butt off to keep my metabolism going, and eat a lot of foods that I find pretty disgusting. That's life. I finally decided enough was enough, and started to go at it full force, the right way. That's willpower. Either you have it, or you don't. If you don't, then HCG or other options might be for you. Again, though, you have to understand the whole process, which was my whole reason for posting here.

Good luck to you, and good health.

Does anybody know how I can get information in Massachusetts about this?  I'm thinking of trying it but don't have the money or time to travel to FL or AZ to see a Dr.

Hi, I'm new and looking for someone to do this diet with. (HCG)  I just started it on Wednesday. So I'm on my second loading day, which I'm having problems with.  The gorging is suppose to be the fun part!  But I chose to start this right after my period ended.  I never have much of an appetite after my period so its been hard to gorge.  Anyway I think I'll start by giving the details, seeing how this is an informational site, and these are answeres to what seems to be the most popular questions.  My husband heard about this diet from someone at work.  So I read the Kevin T book.  I only paid $4.99 for it on Amazon.com.  I also read the Dr. Simeons protocol on line.  After seeing Kevin on tv promoting his book, I thought he was totally nuts and would have never bought the book. But now after reading it I see how it all makes sense.    I've always been thin until I had my twins. I'm now 60 pounds over weight.  I'm 34 years old and 5"4.  I weigh 180 right now.  I decided if I'm going to do this then I may as well do it by the book. The Dr. Simeons book that is.  The diet was founded by Dr. Simeons, he created this diet so I feel the smartest way to do this diet would be to follow his instructions.  Kevin's book does follow Dr. Simeons protocol, but he has added a lot of extra's. Like phase one.  I chose not to do any of phase one. (the cleanses). I just didnt feel strongly enough about them really making that much of a difference in the weight loss. The book specifically say's daily injections are needed for the diet to work. So thats what I'm doing. You do not need to see a doctor for this. I still have seen no doctor, and I didnt get anything ordered from a different country. Kevin Trudeau has a link on his website that say's "need Hcg?", and I went through that phone number. Yes its expensive, but I dont want to take my chances going through the wrong company to have it not work, and then leave me believing the whole diet doesnt work, when really it does and I was just using the wrong company.  I paid around $500.00 for Blood tests, and another $270.00 for the actual HCG and needles.  I give the injections to myself, which is very, very simple.  I think a great way to loose weight is to eat healthy, and exercise.  But its so very hard to exercise when your overweight and have certain health problems that make it nearly impossible.  If there's an easier and healthy way to loose the weight and I chose not to do it, I'd feel like an idiot!.  I say do all the hard work of exercising after you've lost the weight for maintaining the loss, and for your health.   Anyway I thought it would be fun to have someone also doing the diet to correspond with.   So anyone out there? : )

I'm on the third day of injections, and because I felt starving this morning I decided maybe I needed one more loading day. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..... I know that sounds so rediculous, but I really didnt load up very well the first two days so Im thinking maybe thats why I was so hungry this morning. So I'll start the 500 calorie diet tomorrow for sure!  I've got to be honest here, Im feeling a bit like the whole diet is a huge scam.  I'll give it my best shot and if it works, I'll be completely shocked!

These injections are also making me feel VERY TIRED.  I havent even started the low calorie diet yet, these shots have been making me tired during the loading days. So I just dont get that. This happen to anyone else?  It's like I've taken 3 benadryl!

Hi Darlene

It sounds like you have all the tools to do this right.  The fact that you didn't do any of phase 1 will make this a little harder in the beginning but it will still work.  Just hang in there and be strong, it gets easier everyday.

I am in the 6 week period of no sugar or starches before I start my 2nd round of shots in 1 1/2 more weeks.  I know this sounds crazy but I can't wait.  I not only love seeing the scale go down everyday but I like not being hungry and feeling full of energy, it's just easier.  You'll see what I mean.  I generally check this site every morning so if you'd like to chat about your experience, I'm here.

Hi, thanks again. I got through today. hopefully tomorrow will be better.  I lost three pounds that first day. Does that mean I could keep losing three pounds a day?  Or is that how it is just the first day?.   I'm going to Vegas in September. I love swimming and would love to be able to swim at the hotels pools.  But with the way I am, I wont be caught dead in a bathing suit looking this fat!  So I'm hopeing I lose enough that I can wear a swim suit with out making anyone vomit!  : )

Can you substitute Orange for Grapefruit?

You can have grapefruit but oranges aren't recommended.

As for the weight loss the first few days you will put up big numbers but it does start to taper down.  It averages about a pound a day but everybody's body is different and women have a little harder of a time around different times of the month.  For me it's my period and when I'm ovulating.  But as I said it all averages out.  The best part of this diet is not just the pound loss but the body reshaping.  It's amazing.  So far I've lost 22 pounds in my first round but it looks and feels more like 40.  So hang in there and even on days that you don't show a loss it can be because the fat is being moved to places where it is needed.  Especially if you have been a yo yo dieter, we tend to lose structural fat and this diet replaces that.  Congratulations on your 3 pounds, the first of many to go!

I just started the hCG Potocol. I did extensive research, and have put links to the most popular sites on my weight loss blog here:

http://appetite4truth.blogspot.com/

The first button top right is the "My HCG Journey" forum, a spin off from the original Yahoo group. That Lingo button takes you to the page of insider lingo...

Today I was researching the appetite supressing effects of the apple, and realized that, that is why the diet wants us to have two a day.

Anything you could possibly want or need to know will be found in the links on my page.

But I'm a 'newbie' on the protocol, time will tell...

Darlene no I'm not hungry anymore, but I was so I up'd my dose from 125IU to 175IU

Please you guys doing this go to that forum called "My HCG Journey" I swear it's a nice safe place and everybody there knows what they are doing, well the site owners do. I'm brand new to doing it, but I researched my brains out for TWO Months prior to making the decision to do this.

Whan I first started my weight loss I was 250 pounds, I lost 50 on my own, and stalled there for over 6 months, then I started my research.

I'm in WA State and we have an hCG clinic here in Tacoma. It's perfectly safe.

Doing sublingual is way to difficult for me, no way can I hold a liquid for 15 MINUTES under my tongue, TWICE a day.

So I opted for the SubQ injection, so simple and zero pain/irritation.

Please know I'm not afliated with the owners of that forum, nor do I care if anyone comments on my blog, I'd be shocked if they did, it's just the place I put all the best links I know of, after months of research. That one link that is in print, is my own place where you can actually download the original Pounds and Inches manuscript, I put it into a word document so it can be printed and read offline, or there is the iconic link that goes to where you can read it online.

I'm passed menopause, so losing weight is a whole new ball game.

Darlene did you read the doctors manuscript? It said 125IU
KT's book "The Weight Loss Solution" says 175 to 200

I started on July 12th, and I up'd my dose two days ago b/c of hunger, now I'm fine.

You will not only be hungry, you will gain weight if you're cheating...

One gal on the forum said she used Spenda all through her first round (Not saccarhin on Stevia) and lost 22 pounds... so I think we can tweak some things.

I loaded for the two days it said to load, I loaded till I knew if I took one more bite I'd throw up, so I did the best I possible could, I ate TWO gallons og Tillamook Mudslide Ice Cream....  OMG, so good, it's like orgasm ice cream to me...lol

Sparkpeople has two HCG groups, one is slow, the other ultra religious, which is a turn off to me, you get blessed to death... but if you're very religious you would love that group, if so give me a holler and I'll get a link to you.

FitDay is on my site too, I don't use it, but others love it...

I don't eat the melba toast, b/c carbs make me hungry, and I eat the apple prior to meals b'c they actually curb appetite...

My brain hurts from so much learning....

I'm "Journey" on that forum, you'll see I've been a member for two or three days...

I wish you good luck and we can talk here or there... but over there you'll get so much support from ones who have lost well over 100 pounds and have maintained the loss for quite some time now, they know what they are doing!

Yes I read both. But the place I went through for the Hcg, (Which is the place on KT's website) says to take 250 which is a higher dose because it's injected Sub Q instead of intramuscular.   Maybe I'm taking too much!

I havent cheated. Not one morsel!  I gained one pound each loading day. I loaded for three days, so I gained three pounds.  Then day one of the 500 calorie diet I lost 3 pounds, and day two I lost 3 pounds.  But I was starving! and still am.  Day three is almost over and I'm starving as I speak.

I didnt load nearly as good as you thats for sure!

All lot of the new people on that forum are talking about being extremely hungry, the ol timers told them what's up with that... go over there and check it out...

I'm a newbie, with little knowledge, you must get some advice or you will break and cheat!...

Here is one reply in a thread titled "Hunger" I found it here:
http://www.myhcgjourney.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1058

My first round I thought I was going to die. I told my husband that this wasnt a slight hunger or rumblings i was experiencing but full fledged feeling of starvation. In hind sight I beleive alot of it was in lieu of not loading right because it did eventually get a little better but now I know that you can vary your dosage to try and control this. The second time around I have not experienced the hunger like I did the first time and I definetly try to load according to protocal. I think this helped alot.

Here is a list of people blogging, by age:

http://www.drugdelivery.ca/hcg-challenge.aspx

you might find a kindred spirit there too...

After about 7 days you should not feel hunger ever again at all, NADA!

I took 250iu the first time that I did this, probably from the same place as you, from KT's website, and it worked great.   I lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks.  Your dosage sounds fine.  How is your hunger?  I did remember that the first time that I did this I had to learn to distinguish between truly being hungry and just having an empty stomach(which I definately was not used to)  also trying to identify emotional hunger, something to think about.  I hope that it's starting to get better.

I've been reading al the post and have a couple of questions.  Which I think is all have is questions right now.

How much friut do you eat?  I'm eating 2 a day.  I eat the apple for for breakfast, which if I don't eat breakfast I'm hungry.  I then eat my grapefruit for lunch or dinner.

Darlene, try eating an apple for breakfast and see if it helps.  I sometimes take a small handful of almonds just before eating my apples.  I've found that if I start my meal with a couple bites of protein it helps.

This is my 14th day and I lost 2# this morning, which I think is great.  I wasn't feeling well last night and this morning I didn't take my shot and do feel more hungry than when I do.

Kate - saw the answer to my questions about yerba mate after reading these postings.  Now I just have to find it.

This site has been a great help.  Thank you to all.

Hi Katie and Tinkerbell!
...................................

Posted by a Pharmacist on the Yahoo Group.

"Some Facts About HCG and Injections vs Sublingual"

I still see a lot of mis-information and confusion about sublingual HCG on the regular message board, so let's get some facts straight.....

1.) There is no difference in effect between injected and sublingual HCG. Once HCG is in your body, it works exactly....AND I MEAN EXACTLY...the same no matter how it gets there. The body does not know the difference between injected and sublingual, it only sees HCG and doesn't know or came where it came from. This is fact, and I am speaking from experience as a pharmaceutical engineer -- I know how these things work because it's my business to know.

2.) Injected and sublingual HCG can be mixed exactly...AND I MEAN EXACTLY....the same way. There is no special formula for sublingual HCG compared to injections. I did not use colloidal silver and lots of B-12....I used 2 mL of B-12 and 3 mL of vodka and 15 mL of distilled water. I lost 42.7 pounds of the 60 pounds I intend to lose, so it works. This is also fact....the numbers on my scale don't lie and neither do I.

A little aside here: sterile water for injection should not be used because it is somewhat acidic. Bacteriostatic water is supposed to be super clean, free of minerals and pathogens....but distilled water is also mineral-free and much cheaper. If you really think it might be contaminated, boil it again......but that's how it's made in the first place. That's what distillation means....a liquid is boiled and the vapors are condensed to get pure water. Any organisms in the water are killed off in the boiling. Once again, I am speaking from experience with pharmaceutical processes.

3.) The recommended dosage of HCG is 125 IUs per day according to Dr. Simeons, at least to start. You only...ONLY....increase the dosage if you are not losing or are extremely hungry. Another fact, because it comes from Dr. Simeons paper, "The Pounds and Inches Diet". The 166 IUs per sublingual dose number comes from people using Releanna, NOT mixed HCG per the Pounds and Inches protocol. If taken properly, 125 IUs per dose is sufficient.

4.) The rate of loss on sublingual vs. injections varies from person to person, but that is due to differences in body chemistry, NOT the method of dosage. An individual person will very highly probably lose the same amount and the same rate regardless of method, assuming they are doing it correctly. If in doubt, see Item 1.

The sublingual method usually results in about half (50%) of the dose being absorbed into the bloodstream, so the 125 IU dose is taken twice a day. However, getting that 50% depends on how long you hold the HCG mix under your tongue. I did it for 10 -15 minutes, sometimes longer, each time. My results speak for themselves.

5.) It is imperative, repeat IMPERATIVE....that you learn to read food labels. When you do, you will be amazed at how much extra stuff is added to processed foods. White flour, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, starch (esp modified food starch) and chemical preservatives are used in obscene amounts. Also, you can assume that unless it's labeled otherwise, meats are grain fed, injected with growth hormones, and anti-biotics. These things are why we got fat in the first place, so take the opportunity to eliminate them from your diet. Your body will thank you.

Reading labels is also how I discovered that many liquid B-12 offerings have sugar in them, usually in the form of fructose syrup. It may only be a small amount, but Dr. Simeons tells of experiences with his clients that even small amounts of sugar, starch and oil can sabotage weight loss.

6.) It makes NO difference whether you order from Indian or European pharmacies......any drug formulation approved for sale in the US (as HCG is, even if not for dietary use) must meet stringent guidelines as to ingredients and how it's manufactured. The potency is the same regardless of which country it comes form, and there is no difference between Hucog and Organon....they are simply brand names. Cost is only slightly different and delivery times are approximately the same. Once again, my industry experience is speaking here.

There is a difference in packaging but not in the HCG. Packaging from India is in glass ampoules, and packaging from Europe is in small vials with rubber stoppers and an aluminum overcap. Both are sealed containers and both contain the same HCG and either can be used for injections and for sublingual, when properly mixed and in the proper dose size.

7.) Mixing sublingual HCG is no different than preparing injected HCG. You do not need special amounts of colloidal silver, liquid B-12 or bacteriostatic water. I used about 1 mL (which is equal to 1 cc) of vodka to rinse my mixing bottle after rinsing with filtered water, and poured it out. Then I added about 0.5 mL of vodka to dissolve the HCG in the vial (or ampoule), poured that into my mixing bottle and added enough more vodka so I had a total of 3 mLs of vodka. After that, I added 2-3 mLs of liquid B-12 (until I discovered mine had sugar in it), then enough distilled water to have a total of 20 mLs of liquid. Since I bought 5000 IU vials, I had a mixture containing 250 IUs per mL. For a 125 IU dose, I pulled 0.5 mL of mixture into my syringe.

I also found that the liquid B-12 is not necessary. After finding that mine had fructose syrup in it, I mixed my last batch of HCG for my Round 1 Phase 2 using only 3 mL of vodka and 17 mL of distilled water. My losses were slightly better than the previous batch.

Hi Tinkerbell,   I eat two fruits a day. It's been an apple at lunch and a cup size of strawberry's at dinner.  The protocol does not include almonds. It says if you change the foods the HCG wont work in your behalf. Its the chemical compounds in the certain foods that works together with the Hcg that in which makes the diet work to where you dont feel hungry.  I'd love to eat nuts!  I'd put some walnuts in my salad!  But I'm really trying to make sure I do what the book and the protocal say's to do. Seeing how they stress the point of following it to a T.  And how you cant go over 500 calories no matter what!  If I changed something and got a bad reaction, I wouldnt know if it was because the diet doesnt work, or because I didnt follow the rules.  But congrats to you!  You eat almonds and your not feeling hungry so thats great!  I might try that later on if I find that the diet works.

Yesterday was my third day of the diet and I felt just as hungry as the first day.  Today is a little better so far, But I know after this lunch digests Its going to be another hard night.  But I know I'd feel worse If I had cheated. The fact that I still havent cheated is what keeps me going. I've come so close though!  We have some left overs from the loading days.  I just smell them though...ha ha ha ha.

Darlene,

To be clear I don't eat almonds everyday, it's just a couple of times.  But I do know and think it's best not to start the day off without eating.   My instuctions were to eat the apple for breakfast and I'm not hungry very often.  I wish you the best and great success.

Hi Tink,

It'd hard to know where you can tweak this diet... A few nuts are fantastic! I'm prescribed "Fish Oil" by my doc, yet it's not allowed on this diet...

I keep thinking I can do anything for 40 days. Let me know if you have sucess with eating the nuts, I'll feel better about taking my fish oil....

That Stevia is only good for certain things, I got a bunch of it via Puritans Pride... I made one of my famous desserts using it instead of powdered sugar and it had to be thrown out...

Their is such a giant learning curve to learn how to shop, prepare and eat food...

I really like the idea of the "raw diet" but I know I could  not maintain it... So I'm trying to make healthy choices. Such as at least one raw meal per day, and two vegatarian meals at least 4 days a week...

Not now while I'm on this HCG protocol, but before and after...

You know I've read in places with people talking about going to a doctor for an injection  once or twice a week, and losing weight. I just dont get this. How could the Hcg do anything if your only taking it twice a week.  I mean how could it work to suppress your appetite?  I'm taking it every day and it still hasnt supressed my appetite. One of those things that makes me a little weary of this diet.

So whats everyone eating? Im getting tired of the same old.  Iv'e added cinnamon to my apples which is good.  But I'm mostly not enjoying my salad.  It's lettuce, cabbage, and cucumber with a homemade dressing containing Vinegar, garlic, pepper, & basil.   Any other idea's? I'm really not enjoying this salad anymore.

Thanks : )

I just cheated. I ate a very small piece of cake that had hardly any frosting on it. And it was only about three small bites.  I wonder if I'll still be a pound lighter tomorrow morning. We'll see I guess.  I think I'll have to eat less for dinner now to make up for it.

Hi Darlene

I've seen on other hcg forums that there are some cookbooks and recipes to help people not get too bored with what they're eating.  I'm a vegetarian so my eating is different then others.  I used eggs for the protein.  I used to mix the eggs with my salad and that helped a lot.  It is important to find things that you like while on this therapy.  I couldn't stomach such plain salad until I figured out how to make the egg salad and then it turned into something that I looked forward to.  Have you tried chicken salad.  Mixing up the chicken with some celery, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, apple cider vinegar & salt.  I used to put the lettuce in the food processor and chop it up so that I didn't have to deal with so much leafy and so little dressing.  I'll try to locate some web adresses for recipes for you.

Hang in there!  Just put the cheat behind you and go forward.  It will set you back a little but you'll be fine.  Just really try to be strong or you'll never know for sure if this will work for you.!

Hi Darlene

That happens to me me at different times in my cycle, when I'm pre menstrual or when I was ovulating.  If it's not that then look closely at everything that you are doing.  Are you accidently getting any oils on your hands, are you using any body care products that you shouldn't.  This protocol is so specific, it seems crazy that such small things can throw it off but they do.  If it goes more then 3 days then you can do an apple day as outlined in Dr. Simeons manuscript.  That should jump start the weight loss again.  Hang in there, it really does all even out in the end.  Your body might also be moving fat around, try to be aware of how your body is feeling not just the # on the scale.  As we all know the scale is a very inaccurate measure of what is really going on.
