I know he settled, and I got lucky . Looks wise he is out of my league and I know that. I also know that means I've got a lot of work to do, and I am willing to do that.

I said I don't care what your wife looks like.

It still doesn't answer what business it is to anyone else outside of family.

You owe your husband big time for putting up with you and the least you can do for him is reform.

I demand the best and I think your hubby should have demanded the best of you but there probably was a time if he had confronted you you would have laid a guilt trip on him and made him feel like #%@&! for complaining. I could be wrong but you and I both know that's how it usually goes. The the lean spouse just gives up.

Exactly Tankwoman!

And still no success stories JS!

You can spit in the soup all you want.  We all see you for what you really are, you may or not be fat, that has never been proven, but you are still a pig.

I can not only spit in your soup, I can take a dump in your soup and you will still eat it.:pig:

I have a whole lot of success stories and I posted some here. The people who come to me really want to lose weight and reform. There is no room for saboteurs with my coaching. The problem with forums like this is that most of the people who come here are gluttons and saboteurs.

My track record is far far better than the diet industry.

Michelle, you know what you need to do and you know you are not doing it. That being said, please take up smoking if you are hellbent on killing yourself please do it quickly.
Doing what I need to do, and things are going well for me, thanks.  You told me once that you would have one success story here every week, and we haven't seen that.  You are digging your own grave with your negativity, hatred, and anger.

You are lying Michelle. It takes months even a year or more to know if someone is a success.

Why are you now resorting to lies? Are you that sick and demented? Your tactics are typical of the loons in the fat acceptance movement.

I don't believe in guilt trips. They' re a chicken way of manipulating people and only lead to contempt. When we had "the talk", I knew he was right, so I just got to work. We're best friends, part of the job is keeping each other from doing stupid things - like staying fat.

If it was either a "can't" or "won't" I would have ended it so he could find someone else.

This isn't a technical paper...

Weight loss is personal whether you have other reasons as well or not. You ask someone why they want to lose weight, that generally requires the usage of those words. What you are, more or less, suggesting is that someone live their life for someone else. That's bad advice, plain and simple. Boyfriends/girlfriends and, yes, even spouses come and go. Your body is permanent until you die. How it looks, how it feels, is something you live with every day so a person saying, "I feel bad. I want to lose weight so I can feel good." is only sensible.

EDIT: Also, saying that pride makes people fat is foolish. What makes a person unhealthy is different for each person. For me, it was horrible depression that not only made me gain weight but also made my nearly perfect GPA drop. I'm hardly proud of either thing and I wouldn't take anyone seriously who suggested that I am/was. I don't know what happened with Michelle but telling someone how they feel is childish.

Weight loss is easy. If an intractable glutton want to lose weight they can agree to be locked in a cell and fed the correct amount of food they would lose weight. As soon as they get released they would go back to their gluttonous ways and regain the weight.

Lack of humility/pride is one of the moral failings that leads to gluttony. Gluttony is greed. A humble person would not have the gall to get fat and be seen in public. There are some people that eat for "emotional" reasons but they are rare. Most fat people are gluttons.

Michelle probably is not here to lose weight. She is here to cause trouble and discourage people.

Overall, obesity is about more than eating too much. It is a moral failing and that is why every other approach to deal with it has failed miserably because nobody has the courage to say that most obesity is a moral issue.  Every other approach placates and salves gluttons. that is exactly what they don't need. They need to know that they caused it and that only they can cure it.

Well, then I'm one of the rare ones. What I eat is directly tied to my emotions. Sometimes I overeat if I'm extremely stressed and upset, sometimes I won't eat at all. An example of this is how stressed I've been lately...I threw out my lunch before eating even half of it and didn't get anymore food until almost 4 hours later. So, personally speaking, I need to cope with stress better, especially since food isn't the only thing my stress level/emotions screws up. I'm not gluttonous (I actually feel better eating less and hate when food is pushed on me which is usually the case when I'm home for the summer)...in all honesty, I'm just emotionally sensitive. I get hurt/stressed a lot, I let it get to me, I let it build, and then I either overeat or starve. I'm an anxious person by nature, I've been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder but am currently not seeing anyone about it. I figured I'd try dealing with it naturally with exercise, setting a schedule, and eating right. I haven't given up on that yet, it was working, I swear... >_<

I suppose the point of my saying this is you don't really have all the answers. You can't know what's going on with a person, not truly. For example, all you know about me is what I write about here. There are a million other things going on in my life and in my mind that I don't bring up. I imagine I'm not the only one. So sometimes you gotta take what people say as the truth unless you have a good reason not to. You'd probably pick up on what's really going on with a person if you spent a lot of time with them offline but understanding someone that deeply from online conversations like this is nearly impossible. I have an online friend that I've known for 8 years now and he's a nice guy, great guy...but he doesn't know me nearly as well as people who have spent time offline with me. Too much isn't seen online, ya know?

As far as pride goes...I don't understand your thinking. You tell one person that it's their pride that got them fat...and then you say it's a lack of pride that gets you fat. And morals...well, those are subjective, very subjective, and I don't just mean with regards to this topic but to just about every topic period. For example, abortion...a pro-life person is going to have different morals than a pro-choice person. They'll both think theirs are correct but there's no way to prove that either way, really. So it's really hard to apply morals to weight loss, IMO. And I also don't get the humble comment you made...because, in all honesty, you aren't very humble yourself... >_>

I don't think anyone is saying they didn't cause their own weight gain. If they have, I haven't seen it. *shrug*

Pride makes you fat, or is it a lack of pride that makes you fat?  You are contradicting yourself J.  The true reason people get fat is because they eat too much of the wrong foods. Emotions and addictions can and do play a part for many people.

Steampunk,
His whole gluttony idea, I don't know who it applies to, but it doesn't apply to me, at least anymore.

Thinking back on the foods that I used to get fat, most of them:
1.) had a ridiculous number of calories for the volume. Example: premium ice cream or those coffee milkshakes. I think a pint of that stuff is about 1200. I've since replaced it with Greek yogurt, which I like, and it actually keeps me going for several hours. 1 pint Ice cream= around 4 pints yogurt (about what I eat in a week)

2.) Didn't really taste that good. He can say whatever he wants about twinkies but they taste like a kitchen sponge soaked in corn syrup. Yuuck. Hub's doritons/fritos smell like socks. Remember these are foods that companies have spent a tremendous amount of money on , then advertise "can't eat just one!" (eyeroll)

Point being, it's extremely easy to be what he qualifies as a glutton. Use his info however you think it'll benefit you, but don't take him too seriously.

For the run of the mill glutton lack of humility make them fat. No contradictions here liar.

Michelle you make many fact free statements when you are not telling outright lies.

You seem to have everything figured out Michelle so why don't you tell everyone why you are intractably fat and gluttonous.

Admit is Michelle, you are a run of the mill glutton and you are here to sabotage others. Do your worst Michelle because you are a shining example of how to fail.

Go back and read through the post, you contradicted yourself.   I've lost a great deal of weight which proves that I am NOT an example of how to fail.  Wishing my death, here and on my private messages, is disgusting. The statement you made to me below just makes me see you even more for the disturbed ahole that you are.

"What I hope is that you lapse into a diabetic coma and exit this world ASAP before you do any more damage. Eat a lot of dates. They have a very high GI."

No contradiction on may part fat girl. You are either lying of you have poor reading comprehension.

You claim to have lost weight and you resorted to posting pictures of people who were not you and then you deleted them.

Publish the entire private message fat girl. Publish everything Michelle for all to see. I stand by everything I say and yes the world would be a better place without people like you in it so keep doing what you are doing and add more risky behaviors.

It irks you Fat Girl that I make fat people admit to their gluttony. You have no answer for your gluttony and your overly inflated ego can't stand it so instead of dealing with your moral failings you attack the messenger. that's all you have. You are beyond pathetic. You are pathological. Albert Ellis said that people are neither good of bad and for them most part he's right. You are the exception that proves the rule.

"What I hope is that you lapse into a diabetic coma and exit this world ASAP before you do any more damage. Eat a lot of dates. They have a very high GI."

I mean that but publish the entire PM.  People like you Michelle are toxic. I hope you don't have kids.

She's not lying, I actually pointed it out first up above.

We were talking and you said, "Lack of humility/pride is one of the moral failings that leads to gluttony." But you told one or two other members the following -

"Your pride and you excessive self indulgence shows in your blubber."
"Your pride is what made you fat in the first place."

But you've also called them gluttonous among other things. So there's a contradiction there if you say that lack of pride leads to gluttony but having pride also leads to being fat. That makes pride out to be quite dangerous the way you described it, having it is bad and not having it is bad.

Stop lying Michelle. Then explain why you are fat and gluttonous and why you love your family more than your porcine pleasures. It's a fair question.

Go to the "Weight Loss Buddies are a bad idea" topic under the tough love forums to be reminded J, you're confusing me with yet another person who wouldn't put up with your bs.

Then tell us why you keep lying, it's a fair question.

If it were up for a group vote from CPH members, I believe you'd be voted out of here J.   You've been kicked off the forums so many times already. I don't agree with the reasons that you're allowed to stay this time.  But since it's not up to me or the group of CPH members, I guess you get a free pass to be here and spew your filth.  Have fun with that, as I know you will.  I'll stick to the other forums on this site where you're not allowed to post.

Post a link to it liar instead of making vague references to something you cannot prove.

I have asked you a lot of fair questions fat girl and you won't answer even though you know the answer.

So then Michelle, explain to us how you can possibly love your family more than food. You won't answer because you know that you don't care enough about anyone else more than you care about food.

Food is your lover and you are cheating on your husband with it assuming you have a husband. If he meant more to you than food you would not behave like the glutton that you are. I ask again for you to explain to everyone how you can possibly have more regard for your husband and family that you do for food?

I'll put it another way. It is clear to me that your lust for food far exceeds any love you may have for your husband. If he cheating on you it is because you put food before him. Your piggy pleasures derived from food exceeded your love for him and the ugliness inside of you is now on the outside of you in the form of revolting blubber. Your greedy gluttony and it's ugliness precedes you. You are a glutton because you made a choice and that choice is food. Food is your drug of choice and it have poisoned you heart, mind and soul. The reason you protest so much is that you know I am right.

Why are you trying to control things? Is it because you don't want to control yourself? There are other many other forums on CPH you can visit. Nobody is forcing you to come to the Tough Love forum. There are many other diet forums on the net you can visit. Try a low carb forum. Those idiots are suffering from ketogenic psychosis so you should fit right in with your delusions. I think you would be much happier on a Dr Fatkins site where you can place all the blame on carbohydrates and when you get fatter. Then you can justify your failure as you eat unlimited amounts of meat and eggs.

You have made it abundantly clear that you think I am full of schit and that being the case you have no reason to participate here.

It is clear that you have no self control. That is a sign of a very under used or lack of a prefrontal lobe and the prefrontal lobe is what separates humans from animals. :pig: OINK!

2000 calories of lean meat and eggs
1 dozen jumbo eggs (1081)
17 ounces sirloin steak (906)

How many people could eat that much protein? Unless you're using cheap, fatty meats (hamburger, pork shoulder), low carb diets limit calories automatically by eliminating all the processed sugary junk.So for a lot of people,it works because they can easily stay under a weight loss level of calories without even trying.

The problems with low carb are numerous.  Were talking about 50+ grams of protein in just the eggs about 150 grams from the beef.

200 grams of protein = 800 calories and the rest comes mostly from fat.  Cells work best on glucose. Brain cells can only function on glucose. During the Fatkins induction phase the liver gives up all its glycogen (the storage form of glucose) and the brain thinks that the body is starving. Then the intense "carb cravings" start and the Fatkins victim thinks she carbs are the problem. They are already scapegoating carbs.

Protein does curb appetite but the brain will overrule that when there is carb restriction.

That never happened to me in all this time. I used those amounts to make a point, because that is more food than just about anyone can eat.

On the other hand 2K in calories in "glutton chow" can be eaten in a matter of minutes, and the person will be hungry not long after.

I think you have said some loopy things that could be associated with mild ketogenic psychosis.

Regardless of how you think LC is not hurting you, it is. It will weaken your bones.

Since I'm eating fruit plus 200 to 300 grams of sweet potato per day, it's pretty near impossible for me to be in ketosis. I may eventually go back to brown rice, but I don't see a good reason for it. I'm just naturally loopy

Well, this is a true scenario, so I don't care if you try to scream well dats hypothetical, because a lot of families have a ton of problems.

In this scenario there is a family of two parents, mother and father and a son. The mother has come from overseas alone with her child and was beaten by her mother, she came to this new country with barely knowing the language, she had nobody. The father was forcefully taken out of school at a very, very low level (year/grade 10)and forced into the circus. After they met, they had a child. They constantly had problems and ignored the child, soon enough the parents kept gaining weight due to emotional eating and self destruction. Unlucky for the poor fella, he had to endure all of this #%@&! and had the effects of it all. He had emotional eating whenever he got sad, he learned from his parents to eat whenever he got sad and his parents only fed him more when they felt ugly to make them feel normal.

Fast forward to when the kid is close to Uni and the parents are old, all of them are in the obese+ BMI range. They are trying to lose weight, may be slowly but they are slowly losing weight.

Now I want you to imagine going up to this kid's mother and telling her shes a waste of space and she is just overweight because she likes chocolates, that its completely your fault and nothing ever happened to make you eat emotionally. Now tell the fat a$$ kid who has followed sadly in his parents foot steps, who had NO IDEA TO DO ANY BETTER that he should go die because of this. Now tell the father who has a low education that he is a failure because he is overweight and he had no other problems in life.

Tough Love is different from being an A$$, something you'll probably never realise. Ever.

edit: Also, the common exuse fatties use that are held up use is "Its on the inside that matters" and that is true. If you base all of your impressions of a person's sheer weight it just goes to show how bad you are

Hi. It's my first day here.  Everyone should get off that guys back.  There is a time and place for everything, and he is in the right venue for what he is preaching.   Keep in mind that there is a warning posted.  People coming to this thread are seeking what he is offering.  Now, if his postings were on a thread titled, "loving, positive reinforcement," then you would have a case.  But, in this instance you are the one who is wrong. You can read the warning below for yourself.

Tough Love

Ahhhh.... the voice of reason.

With drug addicts if you coddle them and don't challenge their manipulative BS they will find every excuse in the world for why they can't kick their habit. Junk food is drug for fatlings. Food addiction is a bit of a misnomer but the pleasure that food gives probably has an addiction potential. Exercise is "addicting" too.

Guess there are exceptions to every rule!! My Dad died at the age of 69, fit his entire life, ate a perfect diet, very healthy full of vegetables, fish and fruit, walked every day, maintained a healthy weight his entire life. Didn't drink or smoke. Died of cancer. Mom is still living, age 83, BADDDD diet her entire life, meaning donuts (a dozen at a time), fatty/fried foods daily and continues to this day, NEVER exercised unless you count shopping an exercise. Smoker, DX at the age of 40 with diabetes and HBP. She's still hanging in there... with her HBP and diabetes all over the place. Only difference between my parents? She takes vitamins everyday and swears that's what keeps her alive.

Fat people CAN eat responsibly but they choose not to do so.?é?á :pig:

Thin people overeat also, I see this everyday. Anorexic/Bulimics overeat to the point of vomiting. Explain this?

Tell me why your family means more to you than your hedonistic pleasures.

Tell me why you are so angry?

Being married to a fat woman who loved food more than him probably put him in an early grave.

It's a shame that so many medical resources are being wasted on gluttons instead of cancer patients.

You are probably lying but even if it is true what you say about your unfortunate father and piggish mother it is the exception not the rule.

Chances are her passive smoke and lack of sex helped to kill your father.

Anorexics overeat? Just how retarded are you? Do you even know the difference between an anorexic and a puker? FYI, Anorexic women starve themselves. Bullimics  puke so that they can eat again.

You really are incredibly stupid.

I am new here, so I don't have experience on the way you guys talk here. But I would like to say that maybe there are people (like me) that in deed need to hear this kind of talk, and repeat it over and over, to have enough contrast to get me see other perspectives.

I guess we are all different and maybe for some this kind of writing doesn't agree with them, but I have suffer for so many years and the more disappointed I got the worst I got (emotionally and physically) and for this past 2 days, I have been uplifted, I feel empower and responsible to do something.

By the way I interact with people, no-one would of talk to me like this, or I would exposed myself to hear this other side of the coin. So from where I am standing, it's a GIFT to have this 2 people talking the way they are...

It's extremely hard to accept that there are TONS of way to integrate our issues. I feel that not only I am waking up here, but as well, learning that we are in a co-creative world, and living among CONTRAST was bound to bring this kind of discussions. I just wanted to add my side of the story, when this extreme ways of talking actually are balancing me out..

So thanks for the tough love, I am benefiting for it.

There is no substitute for the truth. The truth hurts but a stroke, heart attack, diabetes, joint problems and the premature death of a loved one hurts a lot more.

If you are fat you are chronically over eating. Some of you may have a legitimate eating disorder but 99% of you are merely greedy gluttons. Prove me wrong!:pig:

I think even the body jeans or you can say Family jeans play a major role in structure of the body !

Genes play a small role. 30 and 40 years ago most people were not fat.

Americans and Brits are gluttons. Americans are worse.
