Try this:

Sit your child in a room with a plate with one cookie on it. Tell them (if they don't just eat it and fail the test right away) that they can have the cookie now, or have two if they wait, and see what they choose to do.

Children with good self control will distract themselves with something and avoid the cookie, whereas children with low self control will simply eat it before you finish talking or before time is up.

It a good way to determine if your child may need extra attention in the area of self control and will power.

I love it! I'd like to try it wit fat parents. I'd like to see how many electrical shocks they are willing to take for some Cool Ranch Doritos.
