OK we know that we are fat and a glutton but we have a lot of company. Most Americans are fat or obese. Some are moderately gluttonous while others are hard core gluttons but so what? We didn't do this all on our own, gluttony I mean. We had help. In fact one of the biggest enablers of gluttons is also the leading cause of death and injury in the US. No, I am not talking about the fast food industry. I am talking about the multi-TRILLION dollar medical industry. I know that I would rather be a waddling tub of goo than a member of the health care industry. The only person I would be killing is myself.  My greedy gluttony would pale in comparison to the gluttony of the US medical industry.

We may be a big fat glutton but at least we can change. We know the consequences our behavior has on ourselves and others and deep down it bothers us but we have some sort of valid excuses. We need to eat.  Our brain is programmed to crave junk food. In spite of our gluttony we probably will do more good in our lives than harm. We will buy Girl Scout cookies. We may give to Jerry's kids. We may work for a charity. Our greed and food lust is probably outweighed by more than a few selfless acts. We have a vice and our vice is food. There are worse vices.

Since 1997 there was a pediatrician in Delaware who at last count is charged with nearly 500 counts of child molestation, He molested tiny babies and toddlers until he was finally stopped about a month ago. Unlike most sickos this guy's colleagues and the Delaware state medical board knew what he was doing yet no one called the authorities to report this monster. I will make a flimsy excuse for him just like I did for gluttons. The guy was sick and perhaps he could not help himself.

Everyone of us gluttons would have turned this guy in to the authorities. Even a crack dealer would have done something. Two other pediatricians knew for a very long time what this monsterous piece of human excrement was doing and they allowed it. You would not have.

We are merely a glutton. The main thing we do wrong is you eat too much and some of us lie about it. BIG DEAL! We are not bad people.

Like I said before I would rather live my life as a waddling tub of goo with poor eating habits and poor hygiene than a doctor who would turn a blind eye to even one baby rape.

I rarely watch shows like Nancy Grace or Jane Valez Mitchell and I could only watch a few minutes of is because I cried uncontrollably. I shed a few tears for the families and the victims but mostly I wept for the feelings of helplessness and the despair that healers could be so callous.

If being a glutton and a sloth is the worst thing we do and if I were God I'd let us into heaven after we went to the Purgatory Gym for a few months.

There are worse things than being a glutton. Don't sweat the small stuff. I will help you.

I feel your pain, Tontus.

Yes, Brady, there are horrible people in the world; murderers, pedophiles, and people who torture others.  There are probably a few awful people in every profession.  Some of them might even be horrible criminals and fat at the same time.  Think of that.

If comparing myself to pedophiles would make me feel better about my weight problem I might do it but I just can't make the leap.

Tip for the day:  Don't watch Nancy Grace if you want to sleep well.

Now, did someone say something about a Snickers bar...

Fatlings are often not happy about being fat and sometimes they really get down on themselves about it but in a unproductive way. My point is; your fat so what? Fix it and don't obsess about it.

We all have moral failings and compared to many things gluttony is relatively minor. There are a light of nice fatlings. Oprah Winfrey is a nice fatling. Jackie Gleason was a philanthropist too. But then of course the greatest philanthropists of our time was Michael Jackson and he was terribly underweight.

If there is a #%@&! and a just and loving god I doubt he will send people to #%@&! for being gluttons but he may send them to purgatory consisting of wholesome food and exercise until they are thin enough to fit through the pearly gates.

My alter ego has a few blogs you might enjoy. http://medicalholocaust.blogspot.com/
is dedicated to patient safety and health care reform.

http://biggerfatterblog.blogspot.com/ pokes fun at the fat acceptance movement and the habits of fat people. From time to time CG Brady makes an appearance to stir the pot and throw some meat into the soup. If you are fat and easily offended don't stop by. If you can poke fun at yourself and don't mind some ribbing you might enjoy it.

I think maybe you have philanthropist confused with pedophile.

It's a new day, a new week, a new month!  Spring is in the air!  Empower yourselves by using visualization methods to achieve success.  Make up your mind to do it, and you will.  And you can!  The mind is so very powerful!
