There are some good and some bad and some mediocre diet plans.
The bad ones are low carb but not limited to low carb. The other bad ones are very low calorie diets. And the other bad ones are ones that have you taking some phony baloney diet aid. Avoid them. They are deadly!
Some good ones are Dean Ornish Eat More Weighless Plan, Anything by Richard Simmons, Volumetrics, Suzzane Sommers or any plan that is based on tried and true sound nutritional science.
"Diets" don't fail. People fail.
People fail because they don't comply.
People fail because they choose to remain ignorant.
People fail because they are weak.
People fail because the pleasure of food is a greater payoff to them than anything else.
People are gluttons.
Why you are a glutton is less important than how to stop being one.
If you are fat I say it is because you are a glutton. Please tell me why I'm wrong and don't lie and give me that slow metabolism BS.
Now that you admit that you are a glutton you have a decent chance at not being one and reforming your behaviors. Think of it as reform school for gluttons and be as the headmaster.
