i could be wrong but im not sure if they come from being thin or excersize. i am currently 90lbs over my weight range for my height, always been over weight. and have had "back dimples" since i was atleast 150lbs

Heh, dimples are cute, aren't they? Whether on the back or in the cheeks, dimples are just spaces between the strips of muscle. You either have them or you don't.

Yeah I have "cellulite dimples" on the backs of my thighs and also the skin is not tight, probably because I use to weigh more (175-180lbs) and have lost weight (140lbs now). So there is some wrinkling of the skin. And I'm also 43 yrs old now, so my skin will never be taut again. I don't think those cellulite dimples look cute at all. LOL, but they are a bit different than what you're talking about.

I agree with Sylphide, I think they are just spaces between the tissue and are most likely genetic, like the dimples on ones face.
