According to the RMR calculator, at 150lb 5'3" your energy requirements are 1728. To loose 1lb a week you need to create a 500 calorie deficit. 1728-500 = 1228.
Have you been counting calories? If not, then you might be eating more calories than you think, the exercise of counting calories (even if only for a few days) can teach you where your calories come from.
If you are very much against any form of counting, an alternative approach is to follow a diet outlined in this pyramid (it is called "Eat To Live")

Want to lose weight fast or burn your calories in quick way.
You can swim, run and eat more green vegetables, salad, drink more juice.
These all things will help you in good way.

Do you know your body fat % and weight?
If you find out your fat mass you can optimise things to lose fat - not sure if that's what you want.

Weight loss is not just about exercise and food choices. It's about discipline and commitment to make healthy decisions every day. Weight loss is very tough, and unless you are REALLY committed to make important changes in yourself, you won't succeed. Here are 10 things to consider to help you keep on track:
1. Attitude. Its hard to lose weight permanently if your goal is to ONLY actually lose weight. Why? Because if you don't see quick results, you tend to give up. Weight loss is a long term goal. You have to keep yourself motivated even if the scale doesn't budge. It takes time to lose weight. Find more reasons to be generally healthy.
2. Workout. You don't have to push yourself too hard. The key to working out is doing it consistently and regularly. Find something that you like, and keep doing it regularly. Be sure to make it interesting. Change workout routines every week as possible.
3. Eating. You must be willing to replace unhealthy foods with healthier ones every single day. Keep a food journal, read food labels, spend time preparing meals, take time while eating, and make sure to chew your food well. Your brain takes about 20 minutes to register that you are already full. Eating slowly will make you want to eat less.
4. Lifestyle. To have a healthy life, you must be willing to change how you live. It doesn't mean changing everything overnight, but simply being open to new ways of doing things and keeping them permanent.
5. Surroundings. At work, keep yourself away from temptations like take-out counters, vending machines, etc. At home, set up an environment that encourages healthy choices like placing a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter top or a little workout equipment at a corner of your house. These will help you keep on track.
6. Support System. Make your family and friends understand and support your goal. Tell them to help you keep motivated and to help you resist temptations.
7. Mental Health. If your reasons to be overweight is emotional-related, like getting past a break-up or some self esteem issues, be willing to learn why you make the choices you make and know how to confront them. Consult a professional as necessary.
8. Goals. Set reasonable goals. Try setting a long-term goal and then focusing your attention on your daily or weekly goals. Pick things you KNOW you'll achieve so you're always successful. It can be as small as you like, as long as it's reachable.
9. Flexibility. A number of things can happen in a day that may throw you off track. The key is to be flexible. Be prepared. Keep some workout shoes in your car so you can stop off at the park for a quick walk. Keep some food handy so if you get stuck in traffic, you get a snack, and you won't starve and tend to eat tons later.
10. Willingness to Fail and Get Back on Track. Everyone has good days and bad days. The trick is to never give up, even when you mess up. Its okay to make mistakes, just make sure to pick up the pieces and get back on track!
Good luck and keep your head on your goal!Last edited on 7 Nov 2012 09:52 pm by textchx

How tall are you?
How much do you weigh?
What do you eat in a 'normal' day?
What is your goal?
Answer these questions for me and I will be happy to help you.
