Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, but not new to weight loss issues. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. As a child I joined my first weight watchers meeting at 11 yrs. old. I know what it is to be overweight as a teenager and a young woman and now as an older woman I struggle with body changes. It is not easy, and it is good to have support from friends! Getting to a healthy weight and maintaining your weight is a life journey, one day at a time. It is good we have forums like this where we can share our experiences, strengths and hopes with each other. Good luck and good health with your weight loss.

It is sad to hear that you have struggled your entire life with no release. I'm happy you've found a community in which you fit in and feel safe and comfortable to talk about the problems that you've been overcoming for your entire life. I wish you the best with your weight loss goals and hope that I'll see you around more on the forum
I, myself, was the chubby kid in a skinny family. I weighed in the lower 150's which doesn't sound too bad but compared to my skinny, athletic sisters it was. Even when I tried to exercise, I was criticized because I could never be as good as them. I eventually tried Zumba because no one in my family knew what it was to make fun of me and I'm so happy I did! It's changed my life! I'm now a Zumba instructor and in the process of opening my own BEAUTIFUL fitness studio (FitHappensCNY.com) and am happy to say that I am no longer the chubby one. Our problems can be overcome, we just need to find the right way to do it love!
