Hi Yall!
Im 25 y/o female starting an 8 week journey of a goal of 3 lb loss/week. I have about 25 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight.
Looking for a buddy to join me for motivation (and lets be honest some reciprocal sympathy for complaining) and even more importantly for no mercy!
Please message me (or reply or i really dont know how this works) if you would like to join me! I started today (fingers crossed...)
Thanks!

hi, 3 pounds sounds like a lot to lose in 1 week.
how are you doing it? i would like in hahaha.
im 22 female, 5?é??2 and about 128 pounds and id like to lose 8 pounds.
I?é??ve been on and off with my diet and exercise program for about 5 years now and am always up and down on the scale and id like to achieve and maintain my goal weight.
Its a lot harder as you get closer to your goal weight so 3 pounds would be too much for me to achive in one week but id like to be your fitness buddy and maybe we can both help eachother achieve our goals.

Hi gf!
Congrats on your weight loss! Go get those last 8!!!
I'm somewhere between 5'6 and 5'7 and weigh somewhere between 150-160 lol.
I've lost some weight in the past month so I think I'm closer to 150 (I don't have a scale near me now).
I'm planning on eating around 1200-1300 cals a day and workout 2x a day. The working out part shouldn't be bad, I'm pretty athletic thankfully and love to be outside and moving. The food part will be a little more difficult. I eat mainly paleo with some exceptions here and there (a girls gotta have her latte!). I think that should get me 3 lbs a week. I was gonna try this week and then see/readjust.
What's your plan for those last 8?

hi, my cals need to be the same as yours, that for me means controling myself and not giving in to my naughty sweet tooth. Exercise is what I need to do better at.
I would like to workout for an hour 5 days a week. And on top of that 50 situps before bed everynight.
what workouts do you do?
what day do you plan to weigh in?

cool! lets do it.
idk i dont necessarily have a set weigh in day- i was thinking tuesday (keeps me on track on the weekend)- what do you think? do you have a different idea?
id run (around an hour) one of the workouts and the other workout would be elliptical and stairmaster combo (total of an hour). and then i do core (pushups, bridge, superman on my back and 50 sit ups too!) which only takes me like 10 min.
what do you do when you do an hour of workout?
what time of the day or what foods do you struggle with the most?

i think your plan looks great- what do you do when you are "toning"??
i didnt mention but i mix in some high intensity workout around 2-3x a week in the running or the machine workouts. if i do that then i will plateau, are you doing some high intensity interval workouts?

for me jogging is quite hard core, after 20 secs I?é??m huffing and puffing, I dont know why but I can do aerobics for over an hour and not wheeze (im asthmatic) but if I run just for a short while I start puffing and my chest hurts.
thats why I think maybe a 30 sec walk, 30 sec jog combo could work.
Tuesday I think is good to weigh in as you say that way you might stay on track over the weekend. for example if u weigh in on a friday then your mind will tell you eat the icecream- youve got all week to work it off!!!
the hardest thing for me is if I dont workout in the morning I get so lazy and in the afternoon I cant be bothered. then I like to sleep in so losing weight for me probably means getting up earlier!!!
these past 2 days I?é??ve been drinking tons of hot water with lemon and its helping curb my appetite (a little!)
so we both need to weigh ourselves to get a proper starting weight. shall we wait till tuesday?

Hi!
Do you take a short acting bronchodilator before you workout?? You should if you have asthma! But I'm very impressed that you push yourself regardless, take care tho!
I have to workout in the AM too because of my schedule- I have to workout around 5 am so ill be up with you! What time do you work out? And what's your time zone? I'm pacific
Ok so I'll be at a scale starting Monday but I didn't want to use that as an excuse so you don't either! Tuesday wil be weigh in number 1 after one week! (Hopefully ha)
Hot water is a good one. Thats another goal of mine is to drink 2-3 liters a day. Often I'm so low energy and I think it's from hunger but its really usually not enough water!
So you want to check in every day how we did? For me because I have a night eating problem it's probably best if I check in/report every AM before or after I workout. That way ill be accountable and have to admit about my night adventures... How about you when will be your best to report on how your day went?

what is a short acting bronchodilator? like an inhaler?
well im in spain i think the time zone is gmt+1.
yeah water is really important, i try to drink 3 litres too but most days barely drink 2 litres.
I too have a late night eating problem and everyday is challenging for me, I?é??m on the pc all night watching series and chatting and thats when I get craves. Now I?é??m eating pineapple... I dont think thats too bad and its a diuretic. Water retention and cellulites are other delights that god gave me. For both things exercise and water is crucial.
I normaly come on the forum a few times a day so you can post anytime, normaly im online at night, like after 11pm ish.
ok so my goal for tomorrow is to eat healthily and do 1 hour aerobics, I could motivate my dog and do extra walking, poor thing she has a few pounds to lose too because my mother in law is always feeding her everything, even mcdonalds!!!

how was your day? I walked 1.5km with my boyfriend and the dog and after did 30 mins of a jillian michales dvd and maybe it was too much for my first day of fitness because now my thigh is really hurting.
foodwise,
peanut butter on toast, tuna mayo sandwich and green tea, small coffee, chicken and onions and mushrooms, and now I?é??m on my lemon water.
how was it for you?

| Hey girlfriend! I should have warned you I'm traveling for my job and so have little access to Internet (surprisingly right?!) I get home tonight though and so will give you better update by I've been running at least an hour and then doing a second hour of lots and lots of walking . Food has been relatively ok- I can't wait till I'm home and can eat my food and got to the gym! There's really good shopping where I'm at so that's really good motivation! I love fashion a major reason why I want to get to my goal weight ha! It sounds like you're doing good!!! Take care though! Is it only one thigh that hurts?? Stretching after a hard workout can help prevent soreness the next day, do you stretch? And go your doggie! What's your dogs name? Ok more update tonigh but we can do it!!! Keep it up gf

hi!
oh my gosh you are doing so well with the exercise! you go girl!!!!
Well yesterday with the fitness dvd my thigh was hurting immediately after I finished, well almost during, thats why I do 30mins and not the whole hour.
Actually today I feel like I?é??ve been in a boxing match! My legs are sore, and even my back hurts!
So I didnt do what I wanted to do but we walked a little extra with the dog, approx 2km. She?é??s called noa and shes a cheeky thing, she?é??s massive!
Well an embarrassing but funny story, I make my boyfriend switch off the lights before we "you know". Its just if I look down and see my tummy all bloated and horrible I cant concentrate and get so paranoid and it makes me feel horrible. I dont feel sexy. Does this happen to you?
Doing exercise makes me feel better bit by bit so I?é??m hoping that If I get a fitter body I might feel sexier.
And if that isnt enough to motivate myself guess what happened the other day with my mother in law?
Well I was trying to be nice to her and have a bit of chit chat and she was going on saying that they dont have her size in the shops cos she is so thin (she said that a 38 didnt fit, neither did the 36 it was too big and they didnt have a smaller size). And I said oh how nice for you, I need to get back on track after new year and eat less and exercise more.
you know what she replied?
oh my gosh that is so true, youve put on so much weight its unbelievable. (!!!!!)
so I just stood there smiling, it was funny how she could just say that to my face. My mother normaly says dont be stupid u have an amazing body.
Neither are good advice. I need to lose about 6 pounds to be in my ideal weight, so maybe I am a little chubby round the thighs but im not fat.
We unfortunately live with her so she?é??ll soon eat her words when im smoking hot and prancing round the house in skin tight nightgowns!!!!
OMG I always write essays!

Didnt exercise today only went for a walk with the dog, legs are still a bit sore and I got into an argument with my partner so I really didnt feel like doing any exercise.
Maybe later I ?é??ll do a bit of floor work, situps and stretches.

I need my buddy!!!
MONDAY
Did 1 hour of jillian michaels beat fat and boost metabolism. So it wasnt what I had planned for monday but it was an hour cardio so thats fine. I?é??m quite pleased with myself although there were lots of exercise I could only do half the repetitions that they did.

heya,
dont worry, i also had fallen off the wagon last week as was on my period, have managed not to stuff myself with sweets but ate a lot.
i am now 122.79lbs gone down from 126.76 from 14th jan, but had a week off.
i am still on, feel free to check my diary and discuss if you want to.
i see you are heavily into excercise, with me i find is easier to loose weight first and then get toning, my legs are really muscly and i rather not gain any more muscle weight there now, as it seems to demotivate me; excercise makes me very hungry and i do very low resistance like slow cross trainer and walking, every day about 45min to an hour, eating wise i eat when am hungry but not really exceeding 1200 kcals, after last week of eating a lot while on TOM my hunger completely dissapeared, i am doing very low carb though, staying now only below 20g of net carbs a day, i seem not be exceeding 1000 kcals. what is your diet like? what is your target weight? i have put 119lbs as for target weight, but now i changed it to 115lbs... lets see.Last edited on 1 Feb 2013 05:18 am by anilorak32

hi,
well i used to be into exercise but not lately, loads of excuses, had my mum over, period, been depressed, hurt my back... bla bla bla.
yesterday i did cardio but today didnt do anything.
as for diet i dont really control my calories exactly cos i get crazy when im too restrictive and end up bingeing. but I do try to choose healthy meals and think about what im eating, try not to have so many treats.
i really need to eat healtheir and drink more water, my skin is horrible, full of spots!!!
by the way, well done on your weight loss!!! youve done great, i know its so hard when we dont have tons to lose. my goal is 54 kg (i think thats about 120 pounds), and then tone and try to maintain that weight. im 5?é??2 so u can imediately tell when im not exercising and making bad food choices, it all goes to my butt!!!! losing 3lbs a week is too much when you are short and don't have a lot to lose.
my body shape is ruler shaped so all the extra fat would come to my tummy, thighs and arms. stubborn fat. And I hate it. I'm on diet with healthy food for a month but haven't seen any difference. My friends who apparently skinny told me that i didnt have to lose weight because chubby was cute. But I won't give up. My goal is to lose 13lbs, maybe 1.7lbs every week.
