Okay ladies,

I figured I would start an actual group thread and use the first post to keep up with progress/goals. :)

I'll start off with myself! For now, I'm just trying to change my eating habits and tossing in a bit of exercise.

Feel free to post your stats for me and I'll update this post to incorporate everyone's progress/weight.

Hey Cookie! :apple:

How are you doing, girlie? To be honest, I haven't even started exercising yet. But I found an old thread (when I had a different name).. and reading it made me so mad at myself. I weighed a good 20lbs less then. And instead of lose over the last three years, I've gained. Goodness. Makes me want to cry.

I am really going to put an effort towards this weightloss business.. I am just so tired of looking at myself in the mirror.

One of my biggest downfalls is that I don't drink nearly enough water or eat enough times during the day. Actually, I don't drink much period.. I probably only drink 20 oz's all day. So unhealthy!

I was thinking that maybe we could post our weekly plans.. day by day. If we intend to exercise, increase water, anything. I think writing a plan out and posting it for each other might make it easier to keep ourselves on the bandwagon.

What do you think?

Hi D, I think you are right, wont hurt to try.
I did poorly this weekend, I over ate and just slacked, some probs with the hubby. and I did gain this weekend... But I'm still in it;
But wanted to get some support and post my weight...
149.1 oooohhh for shame.... :) I know!
My plans for this week.
Exercise every day, Even if I only do 30min but I have to get something in everyday.
Have healthy small meals, and like you said drink water.
AND NO DRINKING!!! NO DRINKING AT ALL!!!
part of why I gained so much was the hangover I nursed yesterday, I needed greasy food and beer :) It was the only way, it was not pretty after that, I just gave in.
My husband can be evil sometimes...he got us fried chiken with nacho cheese for dipping hahaha!!

Good Morning Cookie:apple:!

To be quite honest, the roommates and I did a huge grocery shopping trip this weekend and picked up a ton of groceries. It should last us for the next few weeks to a month. Woohoo! We tried to pick up some healthier food too..but my roommate talked to a doctor at the hospital..and he told her that the key to weight loss is three steps.

1. Eat 8oz. every three hours.
Supposedly, most people who are overweight (like me, WAY over weight) it is not because they over-eat, it's actually the opposite. Under eating. He said that by eating 8oz every three hours, you're actually doing your body better than under eating.

He also said that adding even the smallest bit of exercise into your day is good because anything is more than nothing. So, he said even walking 2 days a week, you should see a difference in weight. Of course, if you're not going to exercise much.. you should decrease your oz's every 3 hours.

2. Don't tell anyone you're dieting.
Apparently, friends in real life can KILL a diet before they help it. Soon as people know you're dieting, they will flip out on you for the first brownie you eat. And really, he says you shouldn't deny your body its cravings..as long as it's in moderation. So, friends in my real life.. have no idea that I'm trying to drop some weight.

I need to look up the third step. I forgot it! This diet plan was designed for a woman named Anita Mills. You should look her up - WHAT A STORY!

As for your weekend. Don't beat yourself up! Indulging once in a while shouldn't be a problem, just do 30 extra minutes of walking or some vigorous housework. You'll be fine!

Weekly plan:
- Walk on the treadmill at least a mile, every other day.
- Drink more water.
- Take the stairs at work.

May 23 My weight is 147.5, I did ok during week, its the weekends that undo any progress I achived, But my mesurements have gone done, So Im happy, I focus on my weist, I was at 36, Im at 33.5 Now!!
We went to a Fair on Sunday had Ribs with all the fixings, and we liked them so much, we got some to go aswell, So the bad eating didnt stop on sunday.... I know my husband dosent do it on purpouse, but he sure makes it harder for me. We are going for a trip this friday, and that means eating badly.. Again. even if I stay on track and exercise this week, those 3days of fun will surely not help me lose. I know... excuses excuses..
