Hi, I use to take days off from exercising but lately I have been exercising every day, and then I feel guilty if I don't.

So, how much does everyone else on here exercise? If you take days off how many day off a week?

I am just curious, if I am the only one who tries to get some in everyday.

I exercise for 30-90 minutes about five times a week... usually. Of course, I also walk about a mile, maybe a mile and a half going to and from classes five days a week.

After exercising about an hour and a half today, I am contemplating not going to the gym tomorrow... but I will probably feel guilty if i skip out.

I'm always afraid if I miss two or three consecutive days that I'll never get the motivation to go back!

Well I used to 6 days a week but once I hit my goal I cut back to  3-4 days. It is good for your body to take at least 1 day off. Your body needs recovery time and it will thank you by helping weight come off

I was running 4-5 days per week until the days got shorter.  Now it seems I am down to 2x per week which is not enough.  I would like to be at 4-5 again, but can't get motivated to run indoors on the treadmill.

6 days a week I go to the gym and run 10 miles.  7 days a week I do my home workout which takes about an hour and a half of various abdominal exercises.  Every other day I do some minor weight lifting.  The day I don't go the gym I go skating.

That is impressive!

I been trying to beef up the exercise cause my good cholesterol was down a little last time I was in. I think cause now that me and the kids aren't going to the pool anymore. You know, all that summer running around stuff.

So, I been doing more exercise here at home. The walking was getting to time consuming. So, I switch and have been doing low impact aerobics. That is going well, I try to do one tape in the morning and one later in the day or at night.

At the very least I do only one tape. So far this month, I have exercised everyday.

I think I can take a day off. Might just do that today, and get some other things done that I been putting off.

You have exercised everyday for a month?? If so you need to take a couple days off seriously . That might explain why you haven't been motivated to do it. Your body is extremely tired for sure. Your body needs recovery time trust me and if weight isn't coming off like you think it should it is a direct result of that. Also how many calories a day are you eating??? cause with that much exercise you should be eating a lot

I work out five days a week, usually around 45 minutes.  If I'm crunched for time, I'll do a shorter workout of 20-30 minutes.  For the last two weeks, once a week I've been doing a new hour and a half cardio workout on the weekend.  So far so good, especially since I've moved my workouts to the mornings -- I get them done before anything else can eat up my time. =)

No, I haven't worked out for a whole month strait. Just this month, so far, has been everyday. I don't like to skip a day, cause things come up, where I have to skip. So, I try to save up for those days.

I think the main reason that I have been doing so much more is cause I use to walk allot. Like 4 miles at a time. Now, doing the 45 min. tapes is a piece of cake compared to the four miles and bonus, burn more calories, if I do two of them in a day.

Hellrazor, I eat pretty much whatever I want. I try to eat somewhat healthy cause of the cholesterol, but usually fail at that. It varies, some days I over eat, other days I am pretty good about my eating.

I don't even know what else to say. I don't think I am over doing the exercise, cause sometimes doing the tapes, I am hardly even breaking a sweat at the end of them. I did when I first started them, but now that I am use to it, there pretty easy...

Well that is just my suggestion why you might not be motivated. It may seem easy but your body does need time to relax

Well, I took yesterday off from exercise and it felt good. Thats exactly why I try to get as much done as I can, when I can. I couldn't of exercised yesterday if I wanted to.

We had early out at school, so allot of kids here, then conferences last night, which took two trips cause some of the teachers will still over at the other school.

My husband ask me if I was done exercising for the day. I said I'm not exercising today, he said oh, so I guess you will walk tonight then. lol, no, I said I wasn't exercising. I guess walking is not exercising to him. Or maybe he just wanted to get rid of me...hummmm lol

Anyway, back at it today....

Hey, how is that body balance stuff? I have horrible balance, I could use something like that.

its a mix of yoga, tai chi & pilates. theres stretching, balance (which HAS helped my crummy snowboarder knees) a pilates core session. I find it relaxing even though it is hard & i do feel sore the next day. They do a 10 minute relaxation part at the end where you just drift off to new age music while lying on the floor. My balance was terrible before i started taking this class, I used to find the bits where you grab your toes & lift your leg in the air impossible, I still wobble a bit now, but i can do it.

they also update the class every few weeks so its always fresh

I sure could use something like that. I swear I trip over my own feet. I look down allot when I am walking cause my balance is so bad.

I didn't really realize how bad it was until I was doing one of those billy b tapes. Yep, I had to use a chair to hang on to. lol
