Ok, well I normally would say walking. But, now I am starting back with aerobics and really am enjoying it. I love the fact that it burns allot of calories in a short time.

So, I was wondering what everyone else favorite exercise was?

At the moment, it is the elliptical, but that is subject to change.

I also like basketball, but haven't played in FOREVER. Swimming is nice, too, but haven't swam in FOREVER. Actually, I just haven't played any sports in FOREVER.

Haha Crimson, I completely misunderstood you there for a second...

Hmmm...My fave exercises are definately tennis, riding my bike around town, and randomly dancing around.

Haha, funny thread. Danimae- you and I have something in common!!!

My new favorit exercise is kinda hard to explain... but I'll try...

Lay flat on your back, arms at your sides, palms down. Bend your legs, feet on the floor (crunch position would be easier to say ). Then point one leg straight out at about a 45 degree angle. Raise your butt toward the ceiling so your back is straight with your raised leg.

These make my tush so sore! That's a really difficult muscle for me to get too (even lunges or squats don't seem to make it sore).

Also, there's this thing at the gym that's a big favorite (it targets the love handles mostly, but also the butt, back of thigs, and abs)

You stand on this thing that slants you forward while you stand up straight (pads on the front of your thighs and back of your calves so you don't fall). Then I put my hands behind my head and slowly lower myself to a 90 degree angle w/ the rest of my body, then raise myself back up.

The first time I ever did this one I did 20 reps 3x and I could barely walk the next two days!!!

Hey, does anyone do Turbo Jam? Since I am getting into the exercise tapes lately, I was thinking of trying some of the turbo jam.

Does anyone know some good tapes that you could recommend. I don't want to buy something, and then not like it.

I found it funny to see "it" listed as an exercise on the calories burned calculator. Not only that it lists it as "light, moderate or vigorous"

Walking is the easiest for me, too. It didn't used to be, though - it used to be cycling.

Walking is a medium impact activity - if it is too hard on your joints, then you might want to consider the bike or elliptical instead, for now. The elliptical is my current favorite.

That is so true, Nick! Now that I am doing the exercise tapes instead of walking, my feet don't give me grief anymore.

So, I guess it depends on the person and what exercise is best for them.

Swimming is also low impact and I find it fairly easy.

DON'T GIVE UP! Your first day snowboarding will be like your worst nightmare, but if you push through its soo much fun & burns thousands of calories to boot! Don't be afraid of going fast, the faster you go the less likely you are to fall & don't lean back.

Good Luck!
