Hey all! any runners out there?

I've been contemplating buying a new pair of earphones for my ipod. I love my ipod and never run without it. My earphones are still ok, and I've had no big problems with them so far but my driend says that they dont sound so good anymore. I still use the ones that came with my ipod.

But before I buy a new pair, I want to ask, for those who've had experience on this, which is better for jogging? Headsets or earphones?

Thanks!

Well, I don't run, but I walk pretty often, and music ROCKS!

My headphones got a short in them a while back, and a result, I started using the earphones that came with my laptop.

It wasn't long until I bought a new set of headphones. First of all, sometimes I had problems getting the earphones to stay in my ear. Second of all, they made my ears itch, which is annoying, especially during a workout. Third of all, they are not very loud! Since they go directly into the ear, this is probably a good thing, but I need volume, baby! LOL

Earphones, though, are a bit more discreet than headphones, which might or might not be important to you. Also, when you are outside, listening at ear-pumping volume might not be a very good idea:

Walker: (Listening to ear-pumping headphones) La-la-la-la-la.
Driver: Hey, there, good-lookin', wave if you love me.
Walker: (Oblivious to surroundings) *Turns, smiles and waves*
Driver: (Drives off laughing)

Not to mention that it's a bit dangerous not to be aware of your surroundings. Not everybody drives like Grandma! Of couse, it was Grandma who taught me that yellow means speed up, so maybe that's not the best analogy.

I prefer earphones, carinna.  Makes it easier for you to wear just one and still be able to hear cars coming and stuff with the other ear.  Plus headphones just slide off of my head for whatever reason   Either my head is too round or my hair is too smooth.
