Im not exactly sure if this belongs here... but I've been having trouble with my toes and sometimes my leg not actually going numb but getting a tingling feeling in them when Im walking. I was wonder if anyone knew a cause for this or if its happened to anyone else.

I had a 'trapped nerve' once.   It was fixed by some exercises that freed up the sacro iliac joint thingie.   See your doc.  He/she should refer you to an expert if necessary.

(I since incorporate flexibility and stretching into my routines, and it's never returned - though my wife does accuse me of a certain 'numbness between the ears' on occasion).

Diabetes can cause numbness and tingling.  Again, see your doctor.

When I had a job that required lots of long walking at a quick pace, I'd get what a friend called 'turf toe'.  It was sharp pain in my big toe and a couple of the ones beside it -- the longest ones, basically.  I gather it was caused by walking too hard for too long in non-exercise-type shoes.  Misery though, when you're trying to get your job done.  FYI in case the symptoms ring a bell with you. :)

I guess I would have a similar question.,. but mine is regarding foot numbness on the eliptical machine. After about 25 minuites or so, my feel will go numb and I have to stop for a minute and just rotate my feet to get rid of the tingliness.
I don't have diabetes, my blood tests always come back fine for hyper/hypoglicemia, what else could be causing this? Anyone?

make sure u wear loose clothing.. sometimes when we move, the clothing can grab around the groin area restricting blood flow.  Another thing it could be is that ur possibly tensing ur toes, curling them in order to push on thru with ur work out.  This tenseness can also cause lack of blood to ur toes..
Just a few suggestions..

Well I went to the doctor they couldnt find anything (of course) Diabetes does run in my family mostly type 1.  I did have gestational diabetes with my 2nd son he ended up being 10 pounds 2 oz (ugh), havent been tested for  diabetes since though probably should.  I know that gestational goes away once the child is born but i read that you are at increased risk at developing it later in life after that.

PLEASE get tested.  I have been there, was given the T'shirt and will wear it the rest of my life.  The sooner you know the sooner you can make lifestyle changes.  I was diagnosed 13-14 yrs after having gestational diabetes @30 with my daughter.  Diabetes also is a family gene for me too. I was under the impression that if it goes away it's all good. NO ONE told me it was a precursor to the future. My Dr. told me I was in better shape than many of her other patients and that was a good thing. I needed to make diet and exercise changes and I'm on generic pills (metformin) twice a day. It took me a while to "get it"!  Although I accepted it, knew it was coming, I thought  NOT ME! :nono:  Took my meds but my mind was the hardest thing to change.  Like stages of grief.  I educated myself about what I needed to do, the things this disease will do to my body over the years, and ways to prolong my "quality of life". O.K. that done, I embarked on doing all the right things.  Yeah!! Good check up. Then like a diet I thought I had reached goal and started slipping... then I tried "how much can I eat and still be O.K.". Then it was pure not paying attention. Took my meds but that was ALL I was doing. Not watching food or exercising. WAKE UP CALL!! Passed out one morning at home. HELLO!! this is your body talking!! My glucose was over 300  (checked it when I woke up) SLAP!! SNIFF THE COFFEE before you're pushing up the daisies. :rose: (ok not a daisy) I have been watching everything I put between my lips and how it changes my testing. I exercise daily and have found out I NEED to do it on weekends too, like it or not. Consistency always keeps things in check. Even good for you food can be bad for a diabetic.  I learned that this week with lentils. Protein, fiber, TOO MANY CARBS for me. Thankfully the spike was temporary and the next morning things were good again. So hear my preaching and PLEASE get tested. The sooner the better!
