I have never joined a forum in my life but at 53 years young, there's always room for more "first times."  I have been trying to lose 30 lbs for about 10 years now and haven't had much luck on my own so thought I would try this.  I never had problems with weight, except for the occasional 5-10 lbs that would creep on but come right off when I got serious about eating right and exercising, but once I hit my 40's the weight just seemed to stick.  Now that I'm in my 50's, it is getting even harder to budge the number on the scale.  I have been reading the thelegacywebsite newsletters for a year and although they give me some encouragement and tips, I apparently need more help.  Here's to a New Year and a new, healthy, fit, slim body!

Hi Cindybal,

I just wanted to add my welcome to the forums.  I know what you mean about those 50's.  I'm 56 with about 150lbs to lose.  Maybe we could work on this together.  I have found that starting a diary and making yourself accountable to it by posting thoughts, food, exercise is quite helpful.

If you post any question in the appropriate forums you will get an answer.  There is a very helpful friendly group here.

Glad you have joined us other "oldsters"   We will do this!!!
