Hi from vickis8.

I started running this Fall using the Couch Potato to 5K program.  I will be running my 5K this Sunday.  I started with just running and now I want to add healthy eating.  I would like to lose 30 to 40 lbs.  I have started keeping rack of calories taken in and expened on this website and then found out about this.  Glad to have the support and to give support to you all.  So here we go.......We can do it!!

Hi Vickis8! I started to do that Couch potato to 5k, but then I fell off the wagon. I'm glad it worked for you--good luck in your 5k!!

Hi Vickis8,

Welcome to the forums.  As great as the calculators and tutorials are here, I personally feel that the forums help me the most.  I highly recommend that you take the time to read some of the diaries/messages and maybe even start your own journal of progress.  It is really excellent support.

Congrats on doing the 5k.  Let us know how you do.

Again welcome to the forums
