Hi

Thanks for letting me join your forum.

I am hoping to find advice on how i can lose some weight.

I am 68 and 5ft 9in and weigh 14 stones and would like to get a bit lighter.

I cook all our meals as my wife is disabled (ie) in a wheelchair my wife is an insulin dependent diabetic also an amputee.

My wife attends a gym under supervision so get's exercise.

I am limited to what exercise i can do to my Osteoarthritis.

So all the meals i prepare are free of sugar and very little fat.

I am hoping to get advice on ways that we can both lose weight.

Open to any suggestion on varied diets suitable for my wife and myself.

Thanking you in advance.

                                                            Kind regards John

Hi John, I am a 52 yr old john:grin: I weigh all my portions of food, particularily meat and carbs like rice potatoes pasta so I don't over eat. I also aim at fairly good healthy diet with plenty of fruit and veg and little processed foods full of additives and hidden sugars etc. You can use the Calories burned calculator above and get your BMR or RMR you can calculate your calorie requirements. I have a liitle book with cals of various foods or you can use web sites.
