hey guys. I am a 20 Y.O (almost 21) Male, and I have not always been fat. When I was hospitilized at 15 I gained a great deal of weight. I went from 89 lbs to 168. When I was 16 I weighed 173, and just gained and gained. I moved back to Iowa when I was 18 and when I got there I was 298, but over the 4 months I was there I dropped to 200. Well now I am 252. Keep in mind I am 5' 3".

I am an extremely vain conceited person, so being as heavy as I am has really struck a blow to my psyche and self esteem. I am wanting to drop down to 150 and then assess if I want to lose anymore. My goal is a 102 lbs in 7 months. Thats 14.6 lbs a month, or 3.6 lbs a week. Can it be done safely? And if so how should I go about it. I have severe leg pain, so jogging is a no go, and I am also the pickiest freaking eater ever lol.

I am serious about this weightloss though. If you dont think my goals are healthy what would be the time frame you would suggest?

Hope this all made sense O_O

Were you hospitalised for anorexia or were you at 89lb for an unrelated medical reason? (according to a book I was reading, Binge Eating is a common progression after Anorexia)

252lb is not a physically healthy weight to be, but the desire to lose a lot of weight in a very short amount of time might not be the best idea 'mentally'. Still, if you are determined to do so, it does not have to be a physically unhealthy transformation - the healthiest way to do this is by changing the way you eat as described here: http://tinyurl.com/EatRightFree

Shame to hear you're "the pickiest freaking eater" perhaps you can transform to a healthiest eater?

Apart from the physical side of things I would also think about getting help, a self help book, join a support group (for example overeaters anonymous), to deal with the underlying issues.
